Horrible service.
I have been a customer for 31 years. I had a flood and was advised by the tech that the hot water tank should be replaced. Stated Reliance will send me a bill for the used hot water tank. I had to make a decision to replace based on the tech's advice. He could not tell me what I would be charged as it was an old unit. Stated Reliance will not cover the damage as it was a flood. Insurance won't pay as it is not owned by the homeowner. It is rented.
Reliance charges me $2130, I look up the value of the same unit from a Reliance tech, he states a new unit only costs $1500. I called customer retention; was given a lot of I am sorry this is our policy. I was charged a replacement value etc. for the unit.
After 31 years I decided to cancel this service. Reliance did not care, just said, that is fine you can cancel. They then stated I had to pay a $200 for a cancel my account fee and $150 to come pick the rented unit and drainage fee.
WOW charge me to not do business with you. So much for 31 years of being a customer. DO not recommend this organization.
