WORST Move, Ottawa-Florida

WORST MOVE EVER.
Our move from Canada to the US was the worst, thanks to Multi City. Where to start? First off, the movers showed up at the house several weeks late, and gave no heads when they actually did come. We only recieved a call from the movers as they were at the door at around 9am. Living 30 minutes away, we drove out to the house that morning in a panic. Annoyed, we asked the mover in charge why he hadn't called before hand. As he argued that he had, we asked him to check his phone's history. At this, he looked at his phone's history, looked at us, and simply shrugged.
As the move proceeded, and the movers began to unload the truck, we noticed A LOT of our funiture broken, gauged and scratched. This shocked us, as we might have predicted a couple scratches; but no one could have predicited this kind of neglect. From broken glass,(nonchalantly thrown into our flower bed by the head mover), to legs missing from couches, to a new end table that couldn't even stand anymore, to gauges in the majority of our funiture, it was becoming more evident what kind of operation these people were running.
We were also dissapointed as we were promised the assembly of two tredmills when as they were taken apart during the initial move. When we asked the head mover if he was gonna essemble the tredmills, he replied, "Yeah, if you show me how!" Very professional...
Naturally we took pictures and submited them to the claims department as we were intructed to by the movers. We've tried and tried, but can receive no compensation whatsoever. Our next step is proceed with legal action. I would never recommend this farce of a company to anyone, EVER.

Moving

MultiCity moved my family from a 3 bedroom house in Mississauga, ON To another 3 bedroom house in Richmond Hill, ON. We had a few estimates done by other movers and found that MultiCity gave us the best rate and deal. The movers showed up on time and were great. The move went so smooth and fast that I am very happy. Thank you to all the staff at MultiCity.

Moved from Toronto to NY

Multicity helped me move from my one bedroom apartment in Scarborough, ON To New York City, NY. I had received many quotes but found that MultiCity to be the most competitive. Abraham (Relocation Specialist) gave me a free in house estimate and answered all outstanding inquiries I had. Provided a firm price. On the day of the move, Ricky and Danny came to pick up my belongings. They were both pleasant and very organized. MultiCity Moving kept me updated throughout my move. My belongings arrived approximately 7-10 days after the pick up and with no damages. I would recommend them to anyone out there looking to move.
Thank you everyone at MultiCity for doing a superb job.

Moving

I moved from Toronto to Calgary with Multicity Moving. I chose them between the other quotes after doing some search. The in home estimate was done by a professional sales agent came. The quote was competitive - not the lowest but there were no hidden charges. Some other companies told me what I wanted to here but Multicity gave me the actual cost so there was no surprises at the end. The service was great, professional movers showed up at our door as we scheduled. They properly wrapped up the furniture, listed the items and loaded in to the truck. They delivered the furniture on time as promised and unwrapped the items, put it on the spot without any damage. I am very happy with their professional service.

Moving from Toronto to Calgary

We hired "Multicity Moving Inc" located in Mississauga Ontario to move our
house hold to Calgary-Alberta from Brampton-Ontario.
They came for the inspection of the household to be moved, signed the
contract/agreement and took our household in July 2012.
On Wednesday 18th August 2012 we got a call from the company informing us
that the delivery would be made on 18th Aug 2012 between 3 PM and 7 PM
Calgary time. The tractor trailer came to our apartment parking lot by 7PM,
and the driver asked us to contact the head office the following day as he
cannot unload the stuff due to a fireworks taking place in the communtity and
Police wanted them to move the truck.
We called the head office the next day 19th Aug 2012 by 8AM Calgary time,
spoke to a person who identified himself as ROBERT who was in the Missisauga
office, he said that the truck has gone to Edmonton and had to talk to the
driver to arrange another time to deliver.
To our shock, the sales manager Mr.HERBERT BONDER called my wife in
the morning of 24th Aug 2012 from their Mississauga office and told my
wife, that they cannot bring the tractor trailer inside the apartment parking
lot as its too big, therefore he wanted us to rent a UHAUL truck and transfer
the goods into it from their tractor trailer by the street and we are
responsible for the rental/labor of the UHAUL and he further said that they
will NOT deliver the goods by their transportation. He was very rude with my
wife over the phone and he did not let my wife talk also.
I again called the Mississauga office this evening from Calgary spoke to
ROBERT, he said we have to get hold of the driver and arrange a time and they
will NOT contact the driver and he has no time to talk about this matter over
the phone and he kept the phone, not a pleasant talk at all.
We made calls to the driver couple of times and left messages, no reply so
far. And we clearly told the sales manager HERBERT BONDER and the other
person ROBERT that the contract is between "MULTICITY MOVING INC" and "US"
and they took the responsibility of moving the household items from Brampton
to Calgary and therefore they themselves have to contact the driver, and
deliver the goods as promised at the time we made the contract and they did
not mention in any of their contract agreement that we have to hire a UHAUL
truck to transfer the goods.

We had a very hard time with Multi City movers and NEVER again in our life would call this people for the service.

I want to mention here, that if they are having the business for long periods of time, they should know that the big tractor trailers are meant for industrial areas and how can they bring such a long truck to the residential apartment areas ?

Company Response

After careful investigation of the customer's claims we concluded the following: our long distance driver made an attempt wih a 53" ft van to deliver the shipment but was not notified by client that there was a street festival going on at that time. The entire street area was closed and we had no excess to the apartment driveway. We tried to explain to the client that a shuttle would be necessary at his expense. He refused any additional charges so our Dispatcher suggested in order to save money that the client should rent an U-Haul truck so we could off load the shipment a block away. Again, the customer refused. Every effort was made to satisfy this client but he refused any additional expenses.

Moving from Montreal

I recently moved back to Montreal from Toronto, i did lots of shopping around prior and finally decided to use Multicity moving. They were by far the cheapest company by far. The service from start to finish was point on. No extras, no hassle, friendly staff and above all did what they said they would do. Punctual and professional, i never write reviews but since this process was seamless they deserve one!
