We've had Mike's team helping with our electrical rewiring and lighting needs for about 2 years as we worked through a renovation. At first, we needed some minor but urgent repairs, but as we got into renovating our back porch, our kitchen, two bathrooms and two bedrooms, we kept having them back for more. And finally, we undertook the rewiring of our old knob-and-tube work for the rest of our 125-year-old house, including adding more outlets and more LED lighting. Along the way, we had our electrical service upgraded and a new panel installed (and relocated in our basement).

The guys who have done the vast majority of this work are John and Danny, really good-natured guys who work well as a team, and who are a pleasure to have around. Their work is very good, and they were very conscientious about consulting with us throughout the process (for example, "this switch could be here, and control this set of ceiling lights, or maybe you would prefer..."). Mike has been very kind to accommodate (as much as possible) the scheduling requirements of working in conjunction with a more extensive renovation. Mike has been on-site for much of the planning, and John and Danny have worked out details with him by phone and by consulting with us.

I would probably suggest that anyone undertaking an extensive job like this devote a lot of thought beforehand to lighting and electricacl planning. Although we're extremely happy with the result, I've realized that we were making small changes all along the way -- such as realizing after doing something in one room, that we could consider doing something similar elsewhere. There are so many options these days (from LED light strips to funky switches like the Lutron Caseta "remote control" light switches that solved problems we hadn't even recognized we were "working around" for so many years). Because we tackled different parts of our house at different times, we could incorporate those discoveries as we went along, but it might be helpful for homeowners to view their electricians as consultants from the outset. We tried very hard not just to replace what already existed, but to think ahead about improvements -- if you're always reaching the end of the vacuum cleaner's reach, why not install another outlet in the hallway? (Duh) That kind of thing. I think we succeeded in about 90% of those cases, but there are still a couple of "Gee, why didn't we think to do that?" situations.

All of which is to say that we benefited from John and Danny's expertise, and Mike's, and we're very happy with all the work they've done for us.

We went through Homestars to get a quote on issues we were having with a light fixture and dishwasher wiring. Within an hour Michael called and set up an appointment for the next morning. Carlos and Max arrived promptly the next morning and got right to work. They were patient when troubleshooting the issue with the light and very soon everything was up and running. The service was fantastic, Carlos and Max were very friendly, took their time to explain everything, and cleaned up before they left. We are so happy that we have found a company we know we can rely on!

Very disappointed in this company. We chose TEE after getting quotes from numerous electricians. Michael, the master electrician, knew what he was talking about and we got a great vibe from him. The quote was competitive. However, Michael did not do the work nor did he oversee it. Salesmanship only. He sent in a crew of kids to do the work (knob and tube replacement) under the supervision of someone we had never met and whose qualifications were never made clear. We trusted Michael’s assurances.

Result: the work did not pass ESA inspection the first time. A year later, we are still discovering deficiencies (case in point: all of the receptacles on the upper floor are run to the same circuit, such that you cannot have the window AC on in one room and vacuum in the other, because the circuit will blow — and forget about having two AC units upstairs, which has been very uncomfortable during a summer as hot as the one we have had).

Over and above the incompetent work, the entire experience has been shockingly bad. We found our back door wide open one Saturday morning when we came to the house. His crew had forgotten to lock up before taking off for the weekend. Garbage was dumped into a huge cardboard box in our backyard and got soaking wet in the rain (they had no plan on how to remove it and only did so after we insisted). Our bathroom was left in a disgusting mess for us to clean up after the crew.

We have asked Michael to fix the deficiencies and he has given us the most epic runaround. I didn’t want to post a negative review but there is clearly no desire on this company’s part to fix shoddy work. They got their money.

I was so pleased with Michael. He came on time & did all the repairs expertly & enthusiastically.

I contacted Michael to troubleshoot a faulty circuit. He personally answered the online request within 30 minutes and was here the next morning. It turned out to be more than either of us expected but Michael preseved until he found the problem. I really appreciated his determination to stay until things were right as I am sure his day got backed up as a result. Michael is congenial, respectful, and thorough. He obviously knows his stuff. Did a terrific job and I would hire him again in a heartbeat. Thank you Michael and assistant Connor!

I finally found a great electrician who I can trust and does excellent work. Michael was prompt, professional and pleasant. He solved a problem and did it skillfully and cleanly. Don’t hestitate to call Michael if you need help with electrical work. He’s terrific.

Wow. Arthur and Angelo were prompt, friendly and professional. They did a great job, and cleaned up after themselves. They explained what they were doing, every step of the way, and stayed out of the way as I conducted business calls. Angelo offered help with the Nest account setup if I couldn't figure it out myself, after they installed the device itself, but that wasn't necessary (it WAS pretty simple to set up). I can't wait to have a bath in my WARM bathroom! The price was more than fair. They came, they performed magic, and they left. What more could I want????
