Bought an Auction Mart gift certificate for this store. There were no rules stated on the gift certificate to what it could not be used on. When I went to use the certificate they said I could not use it on sale items, or packaged items. The item I wanted to buy had a special package price, but they said I had to pay full price. They also said my certificate would expire, when BC law says it can't. I bought the set anyways. I picked up the set unassembled or I wouldn't be able to fit it in the elevator at my apartment. A couple weeks after pick-up I finally had time to put it together. After getting 2 of the chairs together, I got to the 3rd and the leg was rusty and the 4th had holes that did not line up. The metal on the table was also badly damaged. I brought the defective items back to the store only for them to say that it was past the week return period and they were not willing to help me. They were not even willing to help me put it together. They said I was stuck with defective product and it was my problem. I was then threatened by the man working that he would call the cops if I did not leave his store, he wasn't even the owner nor would he tell me who the owner was so I could complain. After complaining to the Vancouver Sun (who I got the Auction Mart certificate from) I learned that I was not the only one to complain about this exact problem. They do not know how to talk to customers, treat them fairly ,or treat them with respect. They have no customer service skills at all. I do NOT recommend this store at all. I would never go back.
