Altagracia General Contracting

My husband and I recently purchased a house and were looking for a contracting company who could finish the basement as an in-law suite for my parents, we were referred to Justin and his team by our neighbor who just recently had a Reno done by them. We needed the job done professionally and done well! Once we had our initial online meeting with Justin, we knew we needed to hire this company. Justin's genuine customer service skills were greatly appreciated! He was responsive, kind and professional. He understood what we needed done and made us feel comfortable and assured us we were in good hands. We knew we didn't need to keep looking, Altagracia was the company we needed and they didn't disappoint.

Justin, the Project Manager for the basement renovations, was responsive, understanding and went above and beyond from start to finish. He was extremely helpful and approachable. He ensured that communication and honesty was his priority. When we experienced some hiccups, he never hesitated to keep us informed and our needs were met. Even down to the final walk-through, Justin was helping my mom take care of some details which were missed and stayed to get it fixed himself! Seeing my parents faces when their place was done and cleaned, made this project absolutely worth it! We would like to give our personal thanks to the plumbers, the cleaning company, the electricians, really, overall everyone Justin hired for the job were absolutely fantastic and easy to deal with!

I am beyond grateful to God for putting this company in our path, my parents are elated with their place and my husband and I are thrilled to see them so happy and come home after a long day at work and say "home sweet home."

found justin through home stars for a snow clearing job on 2 of my properties. everything was average than last major snow storm, he just decides to block me amd my family. let us high and dry to clear almost 20cm for my own and my elderly parents.

NEVER high them for anything if u just want to blow your money. will be filing with small claims against him.

Whatever you do do not hire this company for snow removal. First, Justin wanted me to pay all the money up front for seasonal snow removal. I thought that was odd and told him so. He agreed to take 1/2 payment starting and two months later the rest. I guess that should have been my first clue about this company and Justin. Snow removal went OK (and I mean just OK, they were far from spectacular) for those two months (almost no snow anyways during that time). After I paid the second installment their workmanship got much worse and finally almost non-existent after the large snow a few days ago. I would call and text all the time as they were late or did not complete the jobs properly. At first Justin would respond then later no response...I ended up calling another company and paying them to do the work. Contractors like this make Home Stars look bad. I have had many good results from Home Stars. I just saw another poor review from another unsatisfied snow customer of Altagracia a few days ago and now it is gone, not sure why because their review was alot like mine and I thought it could not be removed. People need to be warned about this company! I was planning on getting them to do many renos this year. I will not hire them at all now. BEWARE!

We hired them to do our main floor kitchen Renovation in January. Our project took around 8 weeks from start to finish. They were very knowledgeable with all the structural work that was involved and was able to achieve the open floor concept for our main floor kitchen. My husband and I are very happy with the how the job came out. We're looking forward to starting our master bathroom renovation in the summer!

I hired them for snow removal and they literally showed up once on time and a couple of times after we had already done much of the work. The service was absolutely horrible they didn't do a good job when they did show up and most of the time they just simply didn't show up on time at all. They would literally show up two or three days after the snow storms and we would have to do the shoveling ourselves because it was impossible to get our vehicles out! If we have to go to work we have to have it done in a timely manner. They would say they would be showing up within 24 hours or within 16 hours and then not show up for 2 or 3 days if they even showed up at all! On top of that "Justin," the owner used foul language towards me!

Justin and his crew were amazing to deal with, from the design stages all the way to the completion. We hired them to do our bathroom and they guys did an excellent job. Will definitely recommend.
