Canada Energy Audit

DO NOT USE Canada Energy Audit (95 West Beaver Creek, Richmond Hill, ON) as they are a dishonest operation. Contacted them as they were listed as a supplier for the Canada Greener Homes Grant. Charged $791 for the Energy Audit. While minimal verbal recommendations were provided after the first visit , no formal documentation or report was ever provided after multiple requests. No filing of documentation was ever done with the government program (confirmed by Greener Homes Grant). Their supposed "Certified Energy Auditor" appeared to have no intention of actually providing the documents necessary to achieve the grant. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Edward from this company did my Energy Audit in Oct 2023. I did not receive the report until late January 2024. I have been trying to get Edward or the company to upload their report to the portal at Greener Homes so I can apply for the loan and grant. I cannot get anyone to respond to my request to have this done. Edward says he cannot do it, it must be the company and the company says Edward or I must upload. Greener Homes say I cannot do it..it must be the company but they refuse !! Never use this company....

My contractor recommend me auditor Owen. From start to finish, he was professional, efficient, and patient.The service was completed in a timely manner, and he always reply me with any questions anytime. I appreciated his help and I would highly recommend auditor Owen to anyone in need of energy audit.

Company did pre and post retrofit assessments. Greener Homes program says of my Heat pump, insualtion and windows, only 2 windows meet requirements. I checked NRCan website and values send by Canada Energy Audit do NOT match. Contacted the advisor, was told to work it out with the Greener Homes program reps. Greener Homes program reps say they need the advisor to confirm these values. What a mess. I needed this load, Canada Energy Audit ruined all of this and I need to somehow try to work it out with the Greener Homes program.

Terrible at communication. I have to go after the person even for a simple acknowledgement of an email. Did not walk me through the process and hence I'll be late receiving my subsidy. Am willing to re-evaluate if they improve their after inspection communication.

The auditor disappeared after 1st audit with my cheque, didn't return my text message, or email or phone call! No one ever answered the advertised phone number on Canada Energy Audit website no matter what time I called! I even got a message saying their email box is full and not accepting any emails!!!

The inspector Dave was excellent for pre and post audit, taking me through all the details and also the different rebate program requirements. My low score reflects the terrible admin support once the post -audit process was done. I had to email several times over three months to followup and ask them to complete their end of the online submissions for the federal and Enbridge rebates. The followup and support on that end of this process was very bad.

E-mailed Irfan from Canada Energy Audit to have an inspection done in order to claim rebates from Enbridge and the federal government. He was one of the ones recommended by my insulation contractor. His service was prompt, and professional.
