Hardwood Planet

We wanted a good quality engineered hardwood floor that wouldn't break the bank. We decided to go with Revelstoke by Hardwood Planet and are pleased with the result. The installers we hired had no difficulty laying the floor and we were able to colour match our existing hardwood stairs easily. We had 2 unopened boxes left and Hardwood Planet accepted them for return with only a small restocking fee which I found very fair. We purchased through Flooring Liquidators in Scarborough and had an excellent experience.

The product has serious issue, some tongue and grove does not match. Once the floor has been laid, some edges stands out from the rest, and it is very noticeable.

The distributer is aware of this, he came to the site and admitted the quality issue. So they sent email to the company try to solve it.

The company simply said no, as the owner told me, he learnt from the past, he has to be tough to his customer. I repeated asked the owner when he came to the site, is this really HP quality, and should I expect this kind of quality, he kept silent.

The owner always use 5% as his excuse, as long as he believes there are less than 5% of products have issues, he is OK with it, and customer has to live with it. We paid premium price for the product, and quality is poorer than other laminate and engineered hardwood products in the market.
