After several power outages I became very concerned about the reliability of the power grid in my area.
I investigated portable gasoline powered generators but was not happy about storing gasoline in the garage, having gasoline going stale,
getting gasoline during a power outage (gas pumps don’t operate without power). My wife was not confident that she would be able to operate a gasoline powered generator in my absents.
I decided that a natural gas generator was the solution for me. During the huge ice storm in Quebec years ago the only service that did not suffer a disruption was natural gas.

It requires only annual maintenance (done by Platinum). It is about as loud as a window air conditioner. During a power failure the transfer from the grid to the generator is completely automatic. When the grid is restored the transfer back is also automatic.
I have recommenced Platinum to several of my friends who were equally as happy with their dealings with Platinum.
I am thrilled I had it installed for the peace of mind alone.
