Siding for front Turret and Windows

Bret was a pleasure to work with. He did an amazing job at capping and putting siding up around our turret windows. He was quick at providing us a quote and siding options and colours and was very prompt at starting and finishing our job. He always left his work area around our house clean. We would hire him again. Thanks!

Full exterior renovation.

I hired BW Ultimate Contracting to fully renovate the exterior of my home, Roof, siding, soffit, fascia and eaves trough. from the beginning he walked me through the step-by-step process they would take to make sure my home would be what i imagined and i am more then satisified with the results. Bret was very professional and took the time to show me what needed to be done and how to make my house become a home. his team was very courteous and respectful, they took the time to pay attention to detail. from the tearing down of the old siding to the finished product they kept the work area clean and tidy. All in all i would highly recommend Ultimate contracting to anyone who wants quality work, from an honest contractor.

Unprofessional

Don't make the same mistake we did. DO NOT hire this man. Under any circumstances. We hired him to fix an old dormer window in the front of the house and also replace the siding. The whole point of this service was primarily to replace the false window, and have the front match our new (black) windows. Bret said he could do it, and said he wanted to “make us happy.” He failed to clarify exactly the design he chose for the front. He chose the materials and design, and for the dormer window, we decided to use a tint. So on install day he decided the tint wouldn’t work, and installed aluminum instead — without consulting us. He just made a call and did it independently. We are in an attached townhouse, and I specifically asked him not to touch the neighbour’s side, but he went over on her side anyways and left it half-done. If you look at the siding, it’s poorly done. There are mismatched lines, and uneven finishes. When he was done for the day, we told him that we didn’t like what he did with the windows (and I didn’t like his design choices for the siding), and he said he would come back to fix. We purchased (with our own money outside of the original cost) a different material for the window, but he never came back to finish the job. Every text message starts with “I’m sorry” and ends with some excuse for why he can’t come back. His phone doesn’t work, his truck is broken, he's sick, he has personal problems and he's depressed, the weather is bad, he’s buying a new phone now — all code for he’s not coming back. I deeply regret paying the bulk of the balance before he returned to finish the job. I took him at his word when he said he would come back. When I started looking at the pricing for raw materials, I realized that he overcharged us big time. With the cost of materials, boom lift rental, and labour … we easily payed $4000 extra unless that fee for labour for 1 day (2 people) makes any sense? And even with that extra money he siphoned off of us, he refused to come back and finish the job. I waited 3 MONTHS to write this because I gave him endless chances to return and finish the job. He strung us along all this time telling us he will come back, but yet here we are. This man seems to have a difficult time telling the truth about anything. I’m writing this review is because 1. He failed to return and finish the job 2. He is the most unprofessional individual I have ever worked with, and 3. The work itself is unsatisfactory (not what we agreed upon). We gave him every opportunity to rectify the situation. If he would have kept to what he said, returned, and finished the job as he stated he would then you wouldn’t be reading this. I will be taking legal action to recoup the lost funds as I now have to hire someone to re-do his poor, incomplete, and unprofessional work.

Eavestrough, soffit &fascia replacement

Hired B.W. Ultimate contracting based on Homestar's reviews which indicated him a professional but as the job turned out, he was nothing but an amateur masquerading as a professional. The work he did was totally unprofessional . He took a long time to complete the job and came up with all kinds of explanations on why he did not show up for day and several times for several days. When he me gave the quote, he told me it would take no more than 3-7 days, It ended up taking 3 weeks. He would be polite and apologise for the delays but after so many times of this I became suspicious of him not telling me the truth. When the work was being done I was experiencing back pain and was unable to check his work because I had to climb a ladder. He promised to do good work and make me happy. The main and crucial aspect of replacing the eavestrough on a home is to install them in a matter that the rainwater/ melting snow would drain efficiently and not linger or puddle in one area. Now after inspecting the eavestrough in the fall three months later for leaves and debris; i noticed sitting and puddling water everywhere which leads me to believe he did not use a level of some sort or to check and see if the water is draining efficiently. I texted and telephoned him to come back and correct his work. After a lengthy and exhausting time corresponding with him via text and telephone he came up with excuses like a broken foot that needed surgery and his telephone was not working because he did not pay his bill, so I I gave him a few days and asked him for the last and final time when he would come back to do the corrections. He never replied or answered his phone, I realized at that point that he was never
coming back to do any corrective - warranty work. I am in the process of getting a professional to do the corrective work or redo the work. I will be taking legal action against him .

Siding/soffit/facia/eavestrough

I hired Bret Wade and his Ultimate Contracting crew, and to say that I am happy that I did would be an understatement! From the onset Bret provided a quote, an outline of what work was to be done, and he stuck to it. There was constant communication throughout the entire project until it was completed. Ultimate Contracting is an impressive crew that take pride in their work and it shows. I would highly recommend Bret and his crew, they provide quality workmanship are easy to deal with, and are honest.
Considering all the custom work that was done, the price that was quoted was fair and was exactly as quoted. They go above and beyond to ensure that job is done correctly and also done to the home owners satisfaction. Thanks to Ultimate Contracting our place is the best looking on the street!

“Maple Brook” Tudor home to Farmhouse

I had a vision to transform our Tudor home that sits up a maple lined driveway into a modern farmhouse retreat. Not only did Bret Wade and his company crew bring my vision to reality; they surpassed expectations, and the results are stunning. Our home now feels like a warm, inviting place for our large family of seven to retreat to. Lockdown ain’t so bad behind the sturdy, wind-resistant beauty of the linen board and batten that has refreshed our tired gem of a house. The attention to detail is outstanding. From the wrapped corbels under our front windows, to the door transom finishes...nothing was missed.
