Recently purchased hardwood floors for my basement and I could not be happier with the quality of service I received from Avenue Interiors. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable with respect to the products available to me and helped me choose a floor that I am so happy with.

Lots of products to choose from including a complete carpet showroom. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for flooring in the City of Toronto :)

Superb service!!! Avenue Flooring is a family business and they treated us like family! Our home had a major flood and all our flooring from the first and second floors had to be replaced. Our insurance company recommended Avenue Interiors and at first we were skeptical, (previously having many bad experiences with contractors), but Anna and Rick quickly put our fears aside. Their patient and kind assistance made the whole process less stressful. They allowed us to take several samples home to help with our decisions; we chose two different flooring's. When Maryan, the installer, was installing the floors, I panicked, as everything looked sooo different form what we had before. I cannot tell you how patient Anna, Rick and Gabbie were to help relieve my fears. They stopped the installation and allowed me to again take home samples to compare and assure me of my choice. At no time did they get frustrated with me or make me feel uncomfortable. Maryan is an excellent installer and craftsman. He was so kind, opening boxes of flooring for me to compare with the samples. He never complained about all my questions and was always happy to offer suggestions and help with my concerns. He is a true Artiste! And it shows in the finished product. Thank you to everyone at Avenue Interiors for making our home a "Home" again.

Forced to use this company as subcontractor to insurance contractor. They were caught being dishonest to the insurance adjuster, neglected to lay contracted flooring under pad, required 3 installation appointments, responsible for project delay by double estimate, quality of work mediocre, cut corners at every opportunity.

Avenue Interior came to do flooring for our home. They were suppose to take out the old flooring to begin with and many other contractors were reliant on their completion. They came, looked at it, and did nothing all day only to quit causing a backlog and additional labour payments to the other contractors. Nightmare to work with!

We needed a new floor due to a flood in our kitchen, and we used Avenue Interiors. Rick and the entire staff at Avenue Interiors made the entire process a breeze. Rick came up to measure after we had taken home a few flooring samples to see what would go with our kitchen cabinets. Avenue Interiors had installed our previous kitchen floor 16 years ago, a vinyl floor tile, and we decided to go with an newer version.

Avenue Interiors were subcontracted by my insurance company. I was evaluating multiple options before I decided to stay with Avenue Interiors. Rick came over for estimates and communicated clearly about the process and my options. The price quoted by Avenue/Rick were in line or less than 2 other floor retailers I used for quotes. The installer (who is contracted out by Avenue) was excellent. He went above and beyond in trying to meet our schedule and worked around other trades.

Avenue Interiors was subcontracted out by our insurance company contractors after we had some issues with flooding. We needed our main floor hardwood sanded and refinished as well as new carpet in the basement.
The carpet came first, was reasonably well done although there are still several seams visible (I don't know if this is normal but we didn't have this problem with the previous carpet) and they left many areas with gaps between the carpet and the baseboards making it look sloppy. We pointed this out and they said it wasn't their fault, it was our uneven floors or baseboards, to which we pointed out we'd never had this problem before. Someone came, and quickly fixed it, which suggests to me that it was just sloppy work the first time.
The hardwood floor was a disaster. They had to do the work twice because of some issues with movers scratching the floors. Each time the floors looked progressively worse. They did not fill the gaps adequately so the floors looked older and more ragged each time. The workers told me it was a problem with our sub-floor, which may be true, but when I asked one guy why this wasn't brought up before the 2nd job was done he shrugged and said, "hey, I'm just the worker." The off-gassing was very strong for months. They were not able to match the stain with the stain on our staircase, and they had a lot of trouble getting the gloss level right.
Rick, who I guess is the owner of Avenue Interiors, completely stopped returning any of my phone calls.
In the end, our contracting company had the work re-done a 3rd time by a different company who, for some reason, was able to fill the gaps nicely, match the stains and get the gloss level right with hardly any off-gassing odour.

rick is a nice and knowledgeable man. we were on a tight budget and he helped us find the perfect carpet which we love. he worked with our insurance company and was very helpful. installation was professional, too. would use again.

When doing our kitchen floor, the staff at Avenue Interiors recommended a product called Marmoleum. We didn't want hardwood, and this product worked beautifully with our new cabinets. Thre staff was very experienced with the product and its installation. It is unique and needs special care to install, and we were pleased with the work done. Workers were tidy and took care with our home. Over a year later, it still looks like new and we receive compliments on our choice.

We are surprised by the complete lack of response and the abysmal customer service demonstrated by Avenue Interiors. We would not recommend this company at all. We purchased shutters from Avenue Interiors 10 years ago and were happy with the both the quality of the shutters and the service. A few years ago, some of the slats on the shutters broke through our own fault - ie. these broken slats were not a result of the quality of the shutters. We contaced Avenue Interiors regarding replacing the broken slats, which we fully intend to pay for as we were aware the warranty period had expired. Our calls were not returned. After repeated atttempts, they returned our calls and Rick, the owner, came to take the necessary measurements and informed us he would get back to us. Months passed, Rick never got back to us and our calls to him were not returned. It has been over six months since that time and Avenue Interiors is still not returning our calls. We are extremely frustrated as we have been told by the manufacturer of the blinds that all repairs must go through the company from whom the shutters were purchased. The customer service is shockingly poor.
