Lavergne Home Improvements and Renovations

I hired Edgar in 2021 for a project and was satisfied so I hired him in 2022 for another renovation.
Bad decisionthe red flags should have been how he complained about clients that were not satisfied and constantly contacting him.
Unfortunately I did not stop the work because I had already given a large down payment.
The work was shoddy at best, seams not aligned, flashing that I couldve probably done better on my own, etc.
It took over a year to get a repair done and even then he told me to hire a specific local company and he would pay for it.
I sent the estimate and after being ghosted for weeks, he gave approval.
The repair was completed and when I sent him the invoice he was not in agreement.
I have received a partial payment but still waiting for the remainder.
He is very responsive at first but then there are unexplained delays, wrong quantities ordered and then just stops responding to messages.
My best advice, look somewhere else for a reliable contractor!!

Review has been deleted so we will try this again to help protect future people avoid a disaster. We had given Edgar the benefit of the doubt to fulfill a contract however when the contract was cancelled within the 30 day according to the consumer protection act he refused to give our deposit back. He proceeded to tell us and give us the run around. It was a deposit of 6000. This is a very small price to pay when we witnessed his workmanship first hand and thankfully we had dodged a bullet. Beware and tread cautiously with this contractor. The business man and his foreman are constantly throwing each other under the bus. He did try and come back and offer to give us money if we took down all reviews and then of course in Edgar fashion ghosts us. The city of Rockland permit department is well aware of this company and make sure you have permit in hand because they love to go rogue at the owners disparity. My lawyer will be contacting him unfortunately .

Contractor abandoned Reno and I have to seek recovery in court. Failure to deliver numerous aspects of the project such as heated floors, improperly installed floors, paint and plaster, parging, etc. Completely unprofessional contractor who is unreliable and delivers poor quality work. Does not care about the customer.

They stayed in touch and really understood what I was looking for. I want to say that I’m happy we chose this company, they did a wonderful job. It was great to see the whole process from start to finish.

My living room is so much more open now! I wish I found Lavergne Renos earlier. They helped me remove a wall and finish my flooring. I love it and would recommend this company.

Lavergne renos did incredible work on my bathroom after we had a flood. They had to gut everything and start from scratch. They stuck within my budget and timeline and I’m very happy with the finished product

I did a lot of research before hiring Lavergne Renos, I am happy I did. We have a brand new basement, new bathroom and a spare room that we can now use. I’m pleased with the service and they made sure to stick within my budget. Thank you.

Work didn't hold up as promised. The applied floor seal began to peel within weeks of installation. Dealing with the owner regarding warranty has been the worst part. All talk & no action. Absolutely not recommended.
