Garage Door Now

I hired this business to repair my garage door. The technician took one look (literally two seconds) and "diagnosed" the problem saying I needed a new motor and would replace the entire opener for $950. I said no way, and he immediately lowered the price to $450. I said that was more realistic and then he requested that I needed to pay a deposit. I paid the deposit and they never came back to do the work at the scheduled appointment time.

The time was rescheduled twice for the technician to return but they did not show up. When I called to ask for my refund they kept telling me they would look into it and call me back. They never did. Even after several attempts. Then when I kept trying I couldn't get through because they blocked my number. I was able to get through on a different phone, got through to the owner who laughed and said he would never come to do the job. Then he cursed and swore at me and hung up.

It seems this company accepts deposits and then does not do the work. This is their "business". I have filed a police report against them and they are currently being investigated by Peel Police.

Don't hire them and don't give them your information.

Called to fix a garage door panel. This guy Eric shows up and he is not interested in the repair. He wants to sell me three new garage doors even though my other doors are perfectly fine. Finally he gives me an estimate of $1,100 for that one panel, then drops the price to $900 after he saw me roll my eyes at the price. By now, he has been here about 30 minutes and I want the thing fixed. I agreed to $900 and he asks for a $200 deposit that I transferred by Interac. He said he will get the material and come back fix it. It has been over two weeks and he hasn't showed up. I called the telephone number of office or wherever it is, a lady answers the call always saying they will follow up and get back to me but no one ever does.

Paid 30 bucks just to have someone walk in and note the spring tensioner was broken, immediate quote was 900 plus tax. Thank god we called for different quotes among other companies, this is egregiously overpriced with average quotes for 450 plus tax for both tensioners and the cables....be wary shop around...

I called and made an appointment with a service crew explaining that I need a replacement of a keypad for garage door opening. Two guys arrived and were very rude from the start. They re-diagnosed the problem of keypad malfunctioning without proper checking within 2 seconds and quoted $250 for a job to replace it. I asked them for a price of parts - $120 and asked them if they have a receipt on a part fee. One guy got irritated by my question and replied that he doesnt have it and asked why do I need it? At that point I asked them to leave which they refused insisting on paying them first for their arrival. I didnt want to have anything to do with them at that point and had to close the garage door to get rid of them, paying the dispatcher afterwards. What an unpleasant experience that I recommend you avoid.

I called Garage Door Now and tech Eric arrived gave quote and wanted deposit for Job, I wanted any form of invoice or receipt for deposit. Eric said I would get from office. I gave deposit Jan 20, 2022 I have called office everyday for my refund. I thought it to be over priced. The very next morning I called office, Andi, Jane and Nicole at office or dispatch, all said "don't worry we will refund via e-transfer." Today I still have not received refund or invoice for my deposit .
People beware if you give deposit without invoice. Customers need to be careful if any service performed would be honest and fair. I also was
unable to locate an address for this company.

I was charged $1700 to repair spring, hinges, and rollers on an 8 by 7 garage door. Based on the price of this hardware and labor I was overcharged.
The job took and hour and a half, and multiple times workers did not show up when scheduled and I had to call several times. I have been trying to speak to management, and every time I speak with someone they promise to have the manager contact me and it never happens. I am currently on my third attempt of trying to contact someone. This company contracts to other companies to do the work causing lack of communication and efficiency. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE !!!!

One of the worst experiences ever. The repairman quoted me $950 for a broken spring on my single car garage. He then aggressively tried to convince me to get a new garage door for $3100. He was dishonest and said he installed my neighbours garage door. I told him I needed 15 minutes to talk to my wife. He then erupted in anger accusing me of wasting his time. At first,.he refused to leave my house. It ended with him yelling and swearing at me on my front yard. I called other places and I know that this job costs 200-300 dollars. This repairman over quoted me by $600 dollars. Very dishonest. I called Garage Doors Now back asking for a refund of my service charge. They refused. Please be aware of this company. Their repairmen are trying to take as much money as they can from you. Do your research.

Service guy show up at almost 5pm which is 2 hours later than scheduled 1pm to 3pm. Give a quote $650 (springs made in China )or $1000(springs made in canada) to replace two overhead garage springs. The normal price should around $400. paid him $30 for doing nothing. The quote they gave is rediculous. Don't use this company.

A cable broke off our garage door. Called in the morning, and they booked an appointment for between 3pm to 5pm advising their technician would call before coming. Waited an hour after the scheduled appointment time and no one called or showed up. Tried to cancel the service call but no one answered, an hour and a half after the scheduled time a technician showed up with no advanced call as I would have told him to not come, anyhow he inspected the door, said the repair cost would be $550 to replace a $12 bottom bracket and a $20 cable, needless to say I paid the $29 service fee and sent him away as that estimate was ridiculous. Stay away from this company, they're overpriced & the service is terrible.

Told one quote.. tech started work . I asked why all work wasn't done on quote, he took parts off garage and left more broken than when started
.. highly respond NOT using.this company.. as well most companies do free estimates I found out after the fact.. a 0 rating is to high in my opinion
