Kitchen & Bath Inc

We recently used Kitchen and Bath Inc. to renovate our small master bathroom to an absolutely beautiful functional bathroom. Everything went smoothly from the beginning to the end. They were finished a few days early, on budget with no surprises and they have a very professional team. Leigh did an awesome job assisting us with picking out our tiles, fixtures etc. and was a pleasure to work with. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone considering a renovation to their bathroom or kitchen. We would definitely use them again for a future project!!!

Kitchen and bath was hired to renovate our kitchen. There were problems and delays right from the beginning.

You pick out your dream kitchen with the cabinets and sink, only to find out they didn't plan correctly and feel it's okay to change the design without your approval. k&b response: "I want to start by apologizing for the sink oversight. In your new kitchen design we have put lazy susan cabinets in the corners, which made your sink base smaller than your previous one. When the Jaspel sink did not fit in the 30'' sink base, our countertop installers made a suggestion and I went with it without getting your approval. I understand you find this sink unsuitable for your new kitchen."

You discuss how parts of the install should to be completed and come to an agreement. What a disappointment to find out they cut holes in the cabinets and completed the install as originally planned. k&b response: "For me it does not make a difference where they put it as long as its provided."

You expect the hired professionals to use the proper tools and take pride in their work. If you call them out on the quality of work, they refuse to replace the damaged material. They only want to patch everything. kb response: "I agree a professional would know how to use power tools safely!"

Stay away from this company.

Our master bathroom project was:
- replace all fixtures;
- swap location of toilet and shower (build glass shower stall);
- remove corner tub for freestanding tub;
- replace/ move vanity (single to dual sink);
- tile the shower, floor and 1/4 of walls;
- all electrical (pot lights, fan, outlet, relocating etc);
- all plumbing;

We agreed that I would handle:
- framing, drywall, prime, paint;
- demolition & disposal;
- purchase of all (non-trade-specific, electrical) fixtures (fan, taps, toilet, etc);

We chose K&B because they were transparent about the work and costs, and allowed us (per above) to save on some costs by doing those stages ourselves.
They addressed all mistakes/issues whenever applicable in a professional manner.

Now the Details!

Initial Design, quote, and selection experience with Sofien was easy, and painless. He understood our specific needs when explained and he had many options and suggestions for making this bathroom fit our budget and still look amazing.
Payment structure is fair, hassle-free, and fully explained.

As for the actual service work of the contractors and the project manager, I should point out that if you're at all familiar with how renovation work is done, you will have different expectations and opinions about the work, as I did.
Essentially, the work was good quality and yielded a good outcome.
I do wonder what would have happened at end-of-job if some of the small details I had to point out, weren't addressed when I pointed them out earlier... some of this seems to stem from the different tradespeople overstepping on work that another would have 'preferred' to do at their stage of the project.

Marc (the project manager) took care of all the issues and project scheduling very well.
Mike the tiler did great work; would easily recommend. He took the brunt of the project work under wing and even helped install the add-on countertop we ordered from Sofien mid-way thru the project. He even pointed out some very important things that needed to be addressed. He and Marc took care of them.
The carpenters/ general contractors did great work as well; very friendly. They did an excellent job repairing the floor and joists that were mutilated by the original home builder.
Plumbers understood some details we pointed out and did great work. They had to return to site to replace a faulty pipe that did leak water. They were very reponsive with that. Marc offered several options for handling the minor damage from the leak.
Electrician did great work, and used decent products.

The final part worth feedback and review is the glass wall for the shower. We weren't aware at onset that the design with glass wall NOT to the ceiling would result in a less sturdy glass wall. There was an extra cost to get the glass to be floor-to-ceiling for the shower and we came to an arrangement for it to be so, but I would suggest that this be the default option, rather than the premium one. It would have also been better if they didn't dent my freshly finished ceiling during install process, but I digress.

We love our new master bathroom now.. from ugly early 90s era, to modern 2018 custom.

Very please with the work these guys did! We hired K&B to renovate our kitchen, mudroom and replace all the tile on the main floor. We were a bit nervous heading into the project as this was our first big renovation and had just found K&B online.
The team was great to work with and invited us out to a completed project to see their work first hand and to meet a previous client. The thing that drew us to the company in the first place was there competitive price, detailed quote and their flexibility to help us find cost savings to get the project within our budget. Their breakdown on the quote allowed us to take on a few more jobs ourselves and do away with items we didn't see the value in.
The project itself went very smoothly. It finished on time and on budget without any hidden costs. Marc and his team worked diligently to build the kitchen Sofien and had drawn up with us. If we noticed anything missed or not done quite the way we wanted, a quick text to Marc got it fixed promptly. The contractors did most their work during the day, which meant they weren't in our way during the evenings/weekends or disrupting the sleep of our 2 small children.
All in all, very impressed with how the renovation went. Thanks again for all your hard work guys, we really appreciate it!

We were looking for a local company to renovate our laundry room and a downstairs bathroom. We were first introduced to Kitchen & Bath by a mail flyer with a coupon attached. After a few quotes we decided to go with Krystal and her team. The work proceeded very smoothly. The crew prepped the area to and on site very well and all floors and stairs were protected. The workmen worked efficiently and we especially appreciated Vladimir and his quiet professional wood and cabinet work. Krystal was excellent in helping us make decisions and Shawn and Dan were always available to answer questions or concerns. We would recommend Kitchen & Bath to do your renovations.

We are very happy with Kitchen&Bath, Oakville location. From our first contact with Krystal our designer we felt very confident we had chosen the right company to do our kitchen. Everyone that came to work on our kitchen was very skilled as well as being very polite and respectful. Our kitchen was completed in less time than expected and the quality of work is outstanding. We have 3 bathrooms to renovate next and we will definitely call them back as well as recommend them any chance we get.

Was initially suspect with using this company as the price quoted was excellent.
However my skepticism was overcome with the finished product, which far exceeded expectations. The entire team was great to work with.

We ended up with a renovation that looks and feels like it is out of a magazine. It is not only stunning, but the design is functional and maximized the space.

Overall we had a positive experience with Kitchen and Bath Inc. and were very pleased with how our Kitchen and Bathroom renovations turned out. One thing we liked about Kitchen and Bath is that they are a full service company who worked closely and expertly with us during the design stage, thru to purchasing and installation of their products. Sofien was a great designer for us who helped us tremendously throughout the whole process. Their pricing was also very good. We had a very big and complex renovation that involved demolishing and completely remodeling our entire Kitchen as well as 2 full bathrooms. At times when we ran into issues, we appreciated that the company was responsive and Marc the project manager always tried to offer a solution. Steve and Ito, the main cabinet and kitchen installers that we worked with on our project were tremendous – real experts in their craft. The end result was a beautiful new kitchen that has drawn rave reviews from family and friends.

Our kitchen remodel was fantastic , the team under Marc the project manager were skilled , polite , and great at cleaning up the site every time as we were still living in our home during the renovation . Our time line was met as promised. The entire team from Design to layout to the crew not enough could be said . We would recommend this company to anyone at anytime .
