DC Fences & Decks (Kingston)

Garbage. This project is not even 3 years old and I’ve already had to replace almost all deck boards, pergola roof and had to dig new supports for the upper portion of the deck as he totally missed the footings. I’ve had to rebuild all the stairs because he didn’t do them properly (no box in corner) and he never came back to install the metal grate covering the basement window. Terribly workmanship, terrible customer service and dishonest. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK

The work was completed on time and the area cleaned up very nicely afterwards. The design was amazing and the work was meticulous. Dave and his crew were very congenial and co-operative. Good value for money and would recommend them as well as have them back if more work was needed.

Terrible. One of worst experiences i have ever had. Never finished the job as promised. Avoided our calls and never returned them. Left a 50 pounds of cement in the yard for us to clean. Broke our lawn furniture. Said he would come on many occassions but never does. Currently i am involved with better business bureau and more to voice my concerns and dissatisfaction. Shameful. There were issues from the start as the applications to the city were filled incorrectly which delayed the process. He of course put the blame on them. Amazing that he had time to write a comment but did not have the time to answer his phone or return the 6 messages left for him. In order for us to talk to him at the end we had to block our number or use someone else's cell phone - minutes apart. This shows his professionalism as he chose to comment to my concerns on google reviews but never chose to call and explain. Of course there is a small balance as the work was never complete. My only regret is that we did not hold off on paying more until the entire job was complete. Plus giving himself a 5 star. Shameful! I know that most of my neighborhood is replacing decks and I want to ensure that everyone knows our terrible experience with the guy. Now I will need to contact another company to complete the job.
