We hired toronto general construction to do a small addition in the back of the house. The entire project was completed in about 2 months. I recommend this company to anyones who is looking for any home improvement project. Reliable , fair,efficient.

We were in need of raising the existing roof in the kitchen, it was a flat roof, low ceiling, less than 7 ft. It was boiling hot in the summer and freezing cold in the winter only in this part of the house just because of this roof. We found Nick after searching around a few companies and he was easily the best choice. We needed the roof raised, and turned into a gable. In about 1 month after speaking to Nick, they came, ripped off the old roof, re-did the entire construction of the roof, raised the entire roof by over a foot, covered it, shingled, eaves-through were installed, fascia etc, and vinyl siding was installed to match the exiting one on the house. It looks fantastic, the interior ceiling is now more than 8 feet high in the kitchen. And the best part was that it was done in under 2 weeks. We would recommend Nick to anyone needing a repair to their roof. Great job guys!

We contacted Nick based on the reviews found here. We were heading into winter with a roof that desperately needed repairing. The contractor we chose to use never showed back up. We chose Nick based on the reviews we found here and we too found him to be truly committed, compassionate, conscientious and also sensitive to our budget. He also involved us in every step complete with photos of the hidden damage caused by the water leakage. His team is a reflection of Nick's work ethic and he is a man of his word who goes above and beyond because this is his way. We would highly recommend TGC. Thank you Nick.

Probably the nicest people we've ever had working for us (and we've had a quite a few!) I can't thank Nick and the crew enough - they took on a job that many said was impossible, and that two others had tried and failed at, and they succeeded! We had a problem with water run-off underneath our porch, a porch which was built atop a basement vestibule. Nick seems to be a bit of a creative engineering genius and believe me, this job needed genius (a very strange original construction meant there were not only leaks into the vestibule, but pooling of standing water sitting on the vestibule roof beneath the porch boards). This was SUCH a difficult job, but he came back twice to make sure it was done correctly. As others say - this group takes pride in their work to the nth degree and pay attention to every detail - fantastic! Their clean-up afterward also showed more attention and care than any we've ever experienced. I can't say enough good stuff about this company - again, absolutely the best experience we have ever had with a contractor! I would never hire anyone else for anything roofing or waterproofing related!

I have a large flat roof that was covered in some kind of tar and pebbles. I thought it would be very difficult to find someone to do the work - especially since my house is so inaccessible (very close to houses on both sides - we are talking a couple of feet on one side and a few inches on the other).

Well, this crew was ingenious at taking stuff off the roof (e.g. 200 large bags of pebbles). They took everything off, right down to the rafters. They sealed it up every night, just in case it rained. They had a pulley system for getting materials up to the roof – fascinating.

Nick took pictures of everything and welcomed my curiosity, encouraged me to ask questions and whether in person, by email or phone, he responded quickly and courteously. This man answers his phone!!!

They all showed up on time, worked very hard and very long hours. Nick showed me what needed to be done and gave me options. He would explain why one option was better than another – and it was always my decision which option to go with.

They behaved respectfully and were never intrusive. They did exactly what they said they would do.

They were very conscientious, thoroughly cleaned everything up and took all the garbage away promptly.

Nick and his crew clearly take pride in their work. Their prices are extremely reasonable for the level of expertise they bring to the job.

I highly recommend them. In fact, I have already recommended them to one of my best friends. I told him to call them right away because they are the best and they will be very busy.

Found TGC on Homestars and called for a quote to remove and replace the front porch roof (3 layers). Nick was great to deal with and did very nice work. The cleanup was good and the price was very reasonable. Frankly this small project was a test as we have several projects that need to be done on our property. Now I am making plans for our next project with TGC.

I used Tgc to replace my bathroom and hard word floors. The process was so smooth and on schedule. I was worried in a condo but they were fast, neat and very respectful of the small space. I would use them again for sure!

Basement renovation
This job was done in December 2013 and we are very pleased to this day. Nick came out and was very professional, knowledgeble and courteous. The project was handled very proffessionally and we are very happy with everything. I would recomeng tgc to anyone that is looking to do any construction work.

I found TGC on homestars, during a storm, after it had blown off 2 rows of shingles from my roof. The following day the repair was done on time, as promised. I will definitely be calling back!
