Sent someone (not him) to build new inside front steps in garage. Built boxes for steps, I was promised he will change them. Always excuse after excuse for not coming. This was in June/July 2022. Waited until October, promised to come, never showed. Contacted again in Feb 23 now insolvent. Job still not redone. BEWARE!

Im an electrical contractor and Al hired me for a few jobs. At the start me paid then it became excuse after excuse. He now owes me 10K and hes gone insolvent.

My daughter hired this company to do a small basement completion. She got the framing done, which was not correct, the door sizes were framed wrong and the main wall was in the wrong spot. The electrical rough-in was installed. Then nothing. She is missing insulation, vapour barrier, drywall, ceiling sound deadening insulation, suspended ceiling, doors, baseboard and casing finishing and also flooring. She got about $1,500 of work and that is being generous for our $14,725 paid. After about 3 months of being on hold, waiting for some work to be accomplished, she is told AR Reno Experts are insolvent and no more work will be done. Wow.

What ever you do do not allow Al to set one foot onto your property either now or anytime in the future. I paid for a garage and singed a contract with him in July and paid for this project in good faith that he would complete my garage build. Ever sense day one its been an endless supply of delays, excuses and dishonesty. I was supposed to have a garage by the end of August then October 7th and the concrete wasn't even done till
thanksgiving. He finally partially framed 3 walls one of which was framed wrong as the window and door were framed to some oddball size. This cheap card player cant even read a tape measure let alone run a contracting business. Sense then Al has refused to take phone calls, texts or emails and be forthcoming with any updates or info the entire time. Subsequently I get a email right after I fire him out of the blue that he alleges he is insolvent (which I followed up on and he has not even filed for insolvency) and refuses to refund moneys paid for unfinished work and has gone into hiding. I am out $18,000 because of this scum. Hes not even a prepaid contractor in the Provence of Alberta so for him to take money from all these people and not be bonded that is very offside, and he's been reported to the consumer affairs board of Alberta and I recommend all others victimized by him to do also. Worst of all I have a young daughter that cant have access to her back yard as he has left my back yard in a state of shambles to the point where it was unsafe for her to be in.

Job not finished. I have no garage door. Notified will not be completed after months of delays. Now I am left to pay 3000 out of pocket

Expect your timeline to be delayed by 5 months. Also expect to be asked for all the money upfront even after agreeing on a payment schedule (50/45/final payment - 3 payments). There will no updates unless you ask.

Guy talks nicely, has no organization or project prioritization to his name. He will give you a million excuses instead of getting the work done.

Al and Bob did an amazing back landing Reno for us. Although it was a small job Al was still able to fit it into his schedule. Al let us know at all times when the work was to start and end. We had to make a small change to the stair layout and it was not a problem for Al and his team.

Al and his team did a very good job installing my mother's new kitchen countertop and sink. Quick service and excellent job. Thank you.

It was very difficult finding someone to come out to chestermere area! The guys were great! Came out and provide estimate and was able to start right away too! They did a really great job with the hole we originally had versus a nice door now that match the rest of the basement! Thanks so much!

Al was great. Very honest, transparent, good communication and the work was excellent. Would highly recommend.
