I needed to have a silver maple tree removed from my backyard as its health started declining within the past couple of years and the dead branches became a visual nuisance and a potential liability to the properties of two of my neighbors due to its proximity to their property lines.
As usual, I looked up for a service provider listed on HomeStars who also had a high review rating. I received offers from a total of four companies. Two of them asked me for a ridiculously high amount so I discarded their offers right away. The other two, with an offer closer to the price I ended paying Twin Maples said that they can only schedule the service in late fall. Meanwhile, one of my neighbors gave me the contact info for this company (not listed on HomeStars at that time) along with a very good recommendation and since I was waiting for the work to be scheduled by the other two I decided to give it a try. From the moment Patrick, the owner came to assess and discuss the work I realized he is very knowledgeable as he responded all my questions with no hesitation and lots of details. We were both first looking into the possibility of saving the tree but unfortunately we had to conclude nothing could have been done.
Patrick & his colleague came exactly at the time when Patrick said they will be at my place and quietly started to prepare the sequence of work and to arrange the necessary tools and materials so after they get cut, all branches get lowered slowly into my backyard, with no damage to my or any of the other two properties.
Not just me, but also one of my neighbors who watched the job unfolding were truly impressed with the way the team operated. Patrick and his colleague kept a constant pace, not wasting any time and ending up the work exactly at the time they estimated they will. Both proved to be professional, hard workers and last but not least, extremely courteous. They collected every single piece left from that tree and at the end of the job my backyard and driveway were even cleaner than before the job started.
