I highly recommend WAMBOLDT HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING. Owen and Matt are skilled, courteous and honest and their prices are fair and competitive. They've been cleaning my furnace for the past few years; they've also installed a hot water tank for my house and now a combination hot water/furnace tank for a basement apartment. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back again.

Decided to replace our 14+ year old furnace with a higher efficiency model (from less than 80 to 96) and use the Enbridge rebate. We sought mulitple quotes from top rated Homestar HVAC contractors and a few others (Costco and Home Depot). We chose Matt and Owen from Wamboldt because: we didn't feel like we were dealing with commissioned salesman; they actually figured out what size furnace we needed instead of using the existing furnace as a baseline or feeding us some garbage about their years of experience; their price was in the same bracket as the lowest quote we received and they added a longer labour warranty; they spent time discussing whether or not we needed to retain the existing combustion air return in our 30 year old house (we did...for multiple reasons including the fact that the water heater continues to require it). Matt was professional, caring, and dedicated to customer service. He responded the next day with his quote and quickly to our queries. After making a decision, we booked the install for a couple of weeks later. It went beautifully. Matt and the two Owens were courteous, followed COVID protocols and left the house neat and tidy. The new Rheem furnace (see the picture) is muuuuuuch quieter and the house is toasty warm. We highly recommend the Wamboldt team and look forward to their return in the Spring for the air conditioner service.

These folks are one of the few companies who can fix DX (Direct Exchange) geothermal systems. They saved me huge $$ by properly fixing my system - very professional and they know what they are doing. I highly recommend.

During recent July heatwave finally decided to get Central Air installed.
Requested numerous estimates from HVAC provides across Ottawa region. Many would not provide services in my region. The estimate and the no pressure approach to selling themselves and products they use, made my choice easy They showed up and delivered on product installation and no hidden costs. Work completed quickly, efficiently no mess left behind. Recommended and will use again for any HVAC needs.

Look no further! No pressure sales tactics whatsoever! We had a 20-25+ year A/C unit that wasn't cooling our home as expected and we noticed condensation on the line leading from the A/C unit to the furnace. We had called other HVAC companies that either didn't respond or responded with possible reasons causing the issue, but never responded to our request to setup an appointment to come and have a look at the unit. We understand the industry is overwhelmed with demand as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and supply issues in parallel, but to not respond at all, even to say they were overwhelemed with calls and couldn't come to look at our issue as a result, would have been a nice and quite frankly appreciated business courtesy that would have at least kept their business on the radar for future needs if required. We continued to seek out reputable HVAC companies and came across Wamboldt, which had great customer reviews. We now see why. Wamboldt responded to our call and was onsite at our house within 48hrs. They told us the many possibilities that could be causing the problem, the least of which could be low freon. We were undecided whether to simply top-up the freon and see if that helped versus committing to buy a new unit, potentially unnecessarily. Owen offered a solution. He offered to top-up the unit and gave us a few days (which happened to be during a heatwave) to see if that made the difference. At which time we could decide to keep our current unit running or buy new. If we decided to buy new, there would be no charge for the freon top-up and site visit and if we didn't decide to buy new, he would bill us accordingly. Owen re-iterated that it was our choice completely, with no pressure. Wamboldt stayed true to this committment. We did notice a positive change to our A/C with just the freon top-up. With the time given to test the results and make a decision, we were able to do further research, and given the age of our unit, we decided to buy new. A quote for a new unit was received and an installation date confirmed for just under two weeks of the quote receipt....not bad timelines considering the supply backlog. The new unit was installed on time as scheduled. Fully recommend this company to anyone with HVAC needs! Thanks Owen and Matt for making this a stress-free experience.
