Ken came out to quote our project and help us organize our ideas for what we wanted to do with the tired front porch. The project exceeded our budget this year so we did not proceed. However, Ken is very knowledgeable, he showed up on time, and provided a detailed quote in a very timely manner. We needed to replace the stairs from the backyard door with a patio. We emailed Ken from Gateway Outdoor Living for an estimate and he came within the week to provide one. During the site visit we discussed what we required and what we envisioned. Ken provided his opinion on what would meet the requirement in which it was a better idea that saved costs and we were happy with his suggestion. Ken provided all the necessary documents and answered all questions through emails while finalizing the estimate. Ken was courteous and prompt with his responses and he spoke from experience. Ken came round in August to replace the dilapidated deck & rotting railings above our walk out basement with a composite deck, aluminium railings & new privacy screen.

Ken provided a quote quickly & offered suggestions that were appreciated.

He was able to start & complete the project in the timeframe laid out on the quote. He went out of his way to leave the yard tidier than he found it when he started the project.

Ken built a 120 sq. ft. extension onto our existing rear deck. The work also included some modifications to the existing deck. The work was completed on time, on budget and in accordance with our expectations. This was the second time I had hired Ken to do work on our property.
