I found HQ Flooring and Design through Homestars after reading some reviews and I am glad I did. Peter and his partners worked tirelessly to meet a tight 3 week deadline before we moved in. We removed all the 20+ year carpet and replaced it with engineered hardwood, as well as installed new "piano" style stairs. Peter also helped us paint the top floor and main floor (including ceilings, trim and doors). Our house needed a lot of work as we purchased as "fixer upper" and it came out amazing. Would 110% recommend Peter and HQ Flooring for anyone who needs Flooring and stairs done.

PS. Peter also helped us source our hardwood, newel posts , spindles and basically everything else we needed.

HQ FLLOR AND DESIGN

Peter and his crew did a fantastic job. 1. Firstly they moved my furniture from the second floor to my garage for donation pickup from Habitat for Humanity at no extra charge.
2. They removed the wood floor from 3 bedrooms and hall.
3. Installed new hardwood flooring and new baseboards with shoe moulding for the full upper floor. Installed new door casings for 4 doors.
4. They completely removed a 4high X 8long portion wall adjacent to the hall creating an open space.
5. Installed oak stair treads with new risers.
6. Installed a new handrail with 3 new posts and metal pickets. Handrail went from main floor to top of stairs and along where the portion wall was.
7. Repaired damaged bedroom wall in a bedroom and painted room, including 2 large sliding closet doors.
NOTE: Took 5 days to complete this part of the job. They took their time to do a full cleanup each day and Peter also put plastic covering areas to other rooms to minimise the dust.
8. Removed laminated wood floor and ceramic tiles under wood floor from main hall 4 X 20
9. Installed new porcelain floor tiles in hallway.
NOT: Completed job in 8 days. Two days less than Peter mentioned.

In the midst of a DIY project I decided I needed someone with experience to replace my treads and risers with custom sized oak. I was grateful for Haus experience and skill to solve the challenges of an older home with unusual angles and limitations. He was very responsive, committed to the agreed on schedule and worked quickly. Construction is solid precise. I am very happy and have since recommended him to a friend.

After seeing the work done at my neighbours home I contacted HQ flooring and design. I told them what I wanted done and was given a quote a starting date and approximately how long the job was going to take. After agreeing I was told that the job would take about one week. The crew arrived on a Wednesday they sealed off the areas where they were working so dust not a problem and they vacuumed their mess everyday before leaving. I was pleasantly surprised when they told me that they would be finished by Saturday and they were. I was very pleased with the job and would highly recommend this company.

Replaced stairs case with rails and also had 4 bedrooms carpet torn and replaced with hardwood floor

These guys did a great job on our hallway, kitchen, and room floors as well as the stairs.

I am extremely satisfied with the work Peter has provided. I have recommended Peter to 3 homeowners on my street and have done either their stairs or work from him. Peter is thorough, detailed and very professional. I will continue to recommend Peter to my friends and family anytime.

They came in with a large crew and did the job to my complete satisfaction. No one wanted to even travel to my cottage and didnt charge me any extra fees.
