Power Moving

They sent 3 mover which was not enough. One of them was not working really. The office staff was not answering my phone or email on the moving day. It took them 9 hours to empty a 3 bedroom townhouse and 5 hours to just drop everything on the new house hallway. I disassembled all my furniture myself and obviously they didn’t have time to assemble anything. I colour code all my boxes and had room number on them but nobody pay attention. I think their estimation is the problem since they told us it will take 9-12 hours with disassembly and assembly of the furniture but it took 14 hours with out any assembly.
It was midnight when i had to asked them to Just empty the truck and leave. The mover were good at wrapping my stuff
and there was no damage but I don’t recommend them.

The movers were great they came on time and was very efficient

I was able to book a move in 3 days. The movers showed up on time. They were clean, polite, efficient, and had obviously been well trained. As my husband had had a bad fall and was slightly concussed, we asked them to move much more than originally intended, which they did happily. I paid more than I intended, but given the time and extra work it was still lower than quotes from from other companies, and good value for money. I thoroughly recommend Power Moving, and wish all the best to the two young gentlemen who moved us.

Booking the move was easy and the staff was courteous and helpful. Unfortunately the actual move was a disaster. Most of my pieces of furniture have nicks and scrapes, some of it is brand new furniture. Because my mattress was shrink-wrapped, it is now lumpy. I have a chest of drawers that is now very wobbly because it was not packed correctly in the truck. One of my dining room table chairs was broken. A bed that they had to take apart to move was put back together incorrectly and the clips are nowhere to be found. Another piece of furniture was also wobbly, but with a friend I managed to tighten it back up. The clips to hold the shelves for a bookcase are missing. I don't expect to get any kind of compensation from this company. I asked if they could come and look at the damage, and my request was declined. I was just asked to take pictures and send them which I did. They are repairing my chair but who knows what that will look like. From what I've read from the others, they just get defensive with a bad review. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company. I've moved many times over my lifetime and have never experienced such damage to my belongings. Pictures of the bed are attached.
I wasn't planning to respond to your response but I feel that I have to because I keep finding problems. You seem to take the position that dents and damage is normal when moving. I wish you had told me that before I hired you. Today we found that the middle piece underneath another large chest of drawers was broken in the move and taped together by your movers. I'll attach a picture. Possibly your movers told you that they told me the other chest of drawers was wobbly, but that is just untrue. My son packs trucks for a living and he said that only happens when the truck is packed incorrectly. Almost every piece of my furniture is damaged, and I don't think you have the right to tell me what is acceptable to me and what is not. Oh and the reason I didn't use movers I had used previously is because they were friends, and I thought this time I would treat myself and hire someone. I am 68 years old and moving is stressful so hiring a moving company seemed to be the best idea. I'm glad that you have good reviews and maybe the majority of the time, your moves go well, but this time, it didn't.

From the get go we had been communicated with clearly and taken care of by Daniel. All our dates and times were set with all questions answered. Moving day was smooth, movers showed up early and were quick and efficient. Payment was less than we budgeted for with no hidden costs. I was extremely surprised at the whole experience as it was much more professional and seamless than I expected. Would certainly recommend them, and use them again myself in the future.

They were professional and so helpful with unloading all our boxes etc in the right room. They were on time and and their communication on ETA from multiple pick up points to the final destination was great. I chose this company because of the positive reviews I read - now using them I can tell you they proved the reviews right. I'd use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

3 guys and 1 truck moved about 100 cardboard boxes, 70 wardrobe boxes that needed shrink wrapping, 2 giant TVs, a couch and some furniture from a condo with an elevator to a condo with stairs 70 kms away in about 7 hours. Nothing broken or missing. Everything was stacked at the destination as I had requested.
