New Depths Underpinning Inc

When we purchased our house with the intention of lowering the basement two feet, we had no idea what was involved. We interviewed 4 underpinners and eventually chose Mark from New Depths. His quote and explanations were very thorough and detailed, his references were great and he seemed very knowledgable. He was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive.
In the end we made the right choice. The entire process went extremely well. Mark is the most communicative contractor we have ever worked with. We always knew what was going on and when things were happening. The team was friendly and very respectful of our home, which is important when they are passing through our kitchen every morning at 7:30 am. The job site was kept clean and tidy and any requests we made of the crew were addressed immediately.
The work was also exceptional. Everything was done on time (which is apparently rare for underpinning). A few surprises came up along the way, not all related to underpinning, but Mark was very involved with helping us problem solve and in the end they all worked out. We have a nice deep dry basement.
