DCD Interlocking & Landscaping

Camille and Delip run a great family landscaping business. We had some delays due to mother nature but when the weather was favorable, the materials were delivered and Delip and his crew got to work. They worked tirelessly from early morning to well into the evening. They worked all weekend including Mother's Day too!

Delip was very personable and a pleasure to talk to. Through his skilled leadership, he guided his team flawlessly. The amount of work was significant but they managed to complete it all in just over 4 days! From a front accent to match our existing interlocking, to a side walkway with 12 steps, to a full fence-to-fence paved backyard with retaining wall and a vegetable garden.

They were very thorough too. They graded, leveled and sloped the backyard as we had a basement walkout with a severe drop towards the back fence. Did I mention that they did this all by hand? No machine as the bobcat could not fit through the backyard gate. They attached weeping tiles to existing downpipes and connected it to the existing underground drainage. They compacted the high performance bedding, gravel, paving stones and polymeric sand.

At the end, they cleaned up all the mess, cut stones, dirt, waste, etc. and washed away all the debris. Also put some sod too where the grass became bare from work. They were just simply amazing honest hard working guys.

Terrible company, very unreliable and extremely untrustworthy.
I met with Camille in July of 2020 for a large interlocking project I wanted done in May 2021. On July 25, 2020 I gave my initial deposit and we signed a contract indicating work was to start on May 17, 2021. We scheduled the 2nd deposit due for March 15, 2021 as Camille said she needed to order materials by then, before the price increases.

I contacted Camille on March 10, 2021 to provide the 2nd deposit and she informed me she was out of the country and would contact me in April, which I had no issue with. On April 10, 2021, I became concerned that my project would be delayed as she still had not reached out to me by that point. I reached out yet again and when she finally replied to my message, she had indicated that the prices have increased and she would not be honouring her signed and written price indicated in the contract. To say I was frustrated would be a large understatement, but despite all of this I was willing to let it go and remove some materials by re-adjust my interlocking plan so that we could make it work.

Camille scheduled a meeting with me to discuss the plan further. 20 minutes before said meeting she cancelled on me. At this point I had had enough and demanded my initial deposit back. I can't understand for the life of me why a company would go so far out of their way to save a few bucks. It was very evident from Camille's lack of communication, unwillingness to honour her word and refusal to honour her price that she did not want the job. Good job DCD Landscaping on trading dollars for dimes. I will be sure to tell all my friends and family what a nightmare it was trying to work with you. Never has it been so hard for me to spend $15,000. To anyone reading this, please don't waste your time and money on thIs company, there are plenty of good landscaping contractors out there who are honest, reliable and will honour their word.

DCD was great to work with, right from the start. They had great ideas, and designed us a back Patio, that was better then we imagined. All the employees were very friendly. We would recommend them, if you are looking start a landscape project.

She came the following day and not only gave us a competitive estimate that worked with our budget, but also helped us to visualize what our options would be in the backyard. Camille came multiple times to help us select the right materials and showed us many examples of how they were used in past projects. DCD Landscaping was the only contractor who genuinely seemed interested in working with us and taking on the project.

Delip and his team arrived on time and we were blown away by how professional and efficient they were. In just a few days they worked hard to completely transform the backyard. Outstanding workmanship and they cleaned up once the work was done leaving the property spotless. Through speaking with Delip, it was evident that he was extremely knowledgeable, explaining all the processes used to correct the grading.
