My Furnace (13 yrs. old) Blower Fan stopped working on a Saturday afternoon just as a heat wave was starting. I chose Home Air systems based on the Homestar reviews and called them on late Saturday afternoon. I spoke with Mike, the owner, and he said that parts would not be available on the weekend and said he would send a technician at 8 am Monday morning. The technician arrived right on time and quickly determined that the blower fan was the problem. The technician also showed me that the exhaust inducer motor was much louder than he would expect, suggesting that this part may also have a problem. Mike called me later that morning and told me that that the blower fan model was no longer available and that a different model would also require a new circuit board. Mike clearly explained the repair costs, but with a 13-year-old furnace I was not comfortable spending a lot on repairs and asked Mike for a quote on a new furnace. Mike indicated he could install a new furnace first thing on Wednesday morning, to which I agreed. As promised Mike and Technician arrived at 8:30 Wednesday and were finished by 12:30.
Mike is very easy to deal with, explains the problem well and provides options. I highly recommend Home Air Systems and would definitely use them again.
