Really pleased with the look and performance of our new roof

We were leaning towards a standard metal roof to replace our old asphalt shingles and in preparation for solar panels. I decided to get a quote from interlock and was impressed with the product.

Interlock was within 10% of my quote for a steel roof and there was a little bit of room for negotiation.

The installers worked extremely hard and were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. We had a little bit of damage to a railing from when the old roof was being removed. They offered compensation, but I was able to clean it up so it is hardly noticeable.

When it rains hard, there is a pleasant pitter patter sound - not loud or disturbing at all. The roof looks amazing!

All sales pitch, poor service

After reading other reviews about snow/ice damage caused by this roof, we were very clear with the salemen on the snow in our area. This was all addressed with the salemen. We signed up, deposit...were given a start date and install was delayed by almost a month.... A few weeks later we were contacted by the Installation Manager Tony about the snow issue and were told there would be more charges - this was not told to us by the salemen. We were not given an opportunity to pull out of the agreement as it was past the permittable period.....but now they wanted extra money. This was addressed with John the salesman....and shortly after....he responded in writing that everything would be taken care with no extra charges and everything would be perfect.
After our first winter with the new roof the one side of the house with snow bars/cleat has no snow/ice damage to the eavestroughs. However two other valley areas that were addressed at the onset and have minimal snow cleats, the ice/snow has damaged the eavestrough. Our eavestrough need to be replaced, we will deal with that..... however customer service at the company is pretty much non existent. We have written to the company, installation manager Tony and the salesman John. In all our correspondence we never asked Interlock to replace our damaged eavestrough. There were three emails sent and non of them asked to have that done. They sent a technician out ...to observe the issue....at the time he was here, one of the vents this company installed.....was missing....we had a 8 to 10 inch clear exposed hole into our attic..... to all the elements.... This vent and the others were installed by this company. The technician had a damaged vent to temporarily replace the opening into our attic.... and told us they would have to replace that cover with a new one.. He also told us someone would be in touch with further info for the snow bars/cleats.
We have asked for customer service and recommendations to prevent that snow problem from damaging the new eavestrough we are to install. But we have not heard anything! It's been almost 2.5 months now since. We received three phone calls from their reception...and each time it appeared they didn't know what was going on. Now it's been 2.5 weeks and we have not heard further from their installation Manager Tony.

Interlock Roof

Excellent from start to finish!! Our roofing consultant, Bob, was very thorough and very knowledgeable which instilled confidence in our decision in choosing Interlock for our new roof. Jeremy the installer was excellent, very diligent and holds himself to a very high standard of quality workmanship and takes great pride in his work. It was nice to see that Bob visited during the installation and afterwards to make sure we were happy with everything. Overall an excellent experience, excellent quality product and a superior job on the installation. Highly recommend this Company and their superior product and service.

Interlock roof, and shingles

We're very happy with the expedient and quality service we got, the cost never changed from the initial consultation and our roof looks amazing!
All of our neighbors keep complimenting us on our choice of material and how it looks so great.
Contrary to what people say about how noisy metal roofs are when it rains we've noticed no difference in sound compared to our old ashfault shingles.

New roof.

Interlock provided us with a beautiful new aluminium shingle profile roof. We are very satisfied with their work, staff and had many positive interactions. They had a difficult period of weather working against them while doing our roofing but they managed to carry on and complete the job as soon as possible. We are looking forward to a problem free roof!

Todd was extremely helpful and was always available to discuss certain aspects of the job. Of particular concern was the gas line which went across the roof for 2 fireplaces. He spoke to the gas fitters and made everything happen seamlessly.

They were actually quicker than anticipated, having completed the whole job in 2 days. Amazing!!!

Interlock really, truly, could not have done any better. We've never experienced more professional service from all involved and would recommend Interlock to anyone. I would like to recognize Denis and his crew. Well done!

Great product (aged copper metal shingle), people and service. I highly recommend them. The project was completed during early winter. The installer plans to come back to assure complete the clean up.

Interlock Metal Roofing

We had a new Interlock roof installed a couple of years ago after a horrible winter where we had several nasty roof leaks. As several folks have pointed out, the roof is beautiful and the snow slides right off. Just as I had hoped. We've had a couple of spots where the roof developed small leaks (one along the ridge vent a couple of years ago, and one very recently over the kitchen). Getting them to come back and provide some level of customer service is like pulling teeth. It's a fine looking roof, works well in winter, but customer service after the fact is virtually nonexistent.
Just a coda to the above... A young man from Interlock showed up several hours after I wrote this review and assessed the most recent leak and spent over an hour repairing the problems that had caused the leak.

Company Response

After contacted by Mr. M., our service team promptly returned his call and left multiple messages. An appointment was made for Dec 15 since poor weather conditions did not allow us to be at his house sooner. We identified the leak source to be the solar tube (which is not an Interlock product and was already installed before our product was added in 2011). Our installer serviced the flashings around it, fully resolving the issue.
We appreciate the customer recognizing the quality our product and will continue working to improve our responsiveness and customer support.
