Durham Windows And Doors

Buyer beware. Price and installation are fine but If you have a problem with your windows good luck because they will not call you back. We purchased several windows from Durham Windows and Doors and in October 2021 the casement windows started fogging. So I called and the owner agreed to replace the windows under warranty but could not order the glass until January 2022. In February I tried to follow up asking if the glass had been ordered but he would not return my calls or respond to email. As of the end of March we still have no response. The owner used this same "ghosting" technique when he first installed our windows and we found a hole in a screen. Worst customer service ever. UPDATE: Windows finally replaced March 2023.

Beware of any company that abandons its customers. This is one. A door was installed that needed warranty replacement - that was 2 years ago. They don't return calls and expect YOU to contact the door supplier to investigate. Avoid at all costs.

Installed front door at Christmas time and has since been rubbing on frame when opening and closing. Door and frame starting to show wear. Have tried to contact Cam only to have him hang up on me. Playing me for a sucker. Shoddy workmanship bad attitude.
Returned my call and fixed door so it opens and closes without rubbing on frame. Too much expansion from foam insulation.

Thought this company was great till it was time for warranty, windows warranted for life till one goes bad ,seal in window gone ,called and called and called ,want me to pay to have it repaired ?been two years now stay as far away as possible from this company

We had a sliding patio door converted into a window and a new fire rated garage entry door installed as well as a new front door. The work was delayed by a week while waiting for the windows to come in, but everything was done to our satisfaction. The storm door was a different story, we were forewarned about them having issues with the storm door company that had been taken over by an overseas company and sure enough they shipped the wrong sized door. However once the correct door came in they returned to install it. They even gave us a deal on capping some old wood trim around our garage door and our back patio doors. Everything looks great. Any questions we had were promptly answered and the owner and installers were professional and friendly.

We hired Durham Windows & Doors to install new windows on our main floor and install an egress window in our basement. The installation occurred exactly when they said it would. The 2 installers were friendly, polite and very professional. They went the extra mile to complete the job meticulously. The owner came by to ensure customer satisfaction at the end of the install. I would highly recommend this company. We are very satisfied customers!

The other reviews on here scared me at first because it took me some time to save up for this job, however Cam seemed really genuine at the time he quoted me so I decided I was going to go ahead. Cam Junior headed up the install. What a wonderful experience! Job was done on time and to perfection! I had all my windows (but 2) replaced and all my doors. The workmanship is outstanding, and the windows are of the best quality. I will be buying the remaining 2 windows and a screen door as well.. I would give 11/10.. a job well done! Thanks!

Waited 8 weeks for my windows and front door. Door never showed. told me it would be 6 more weeks and that it was backed into with a forklift. I cancelled the door as we are leaving for 6 months. They never finished the window job and now are not returning calls. Buyer beware. Good thing I only paid for the windows but they have yet to complete the capping.

TERRIBLE! Installed the wrong windows and cancelled twice when asked to come out to address the issue. Clearly does not know own product or is just lookingt to take consumer for a ride. I touched, received quotes, questioned the warranty on one window and he installed a completely different one. He never once corrected me on the terminology and never once tried to fix the problem. HORRIBLE and UNETHICAL!

Do not use these guys, I can see light around my front door and the latch does not work properly.
I tried to get them to rectify the problem to no avail.
