LeafFilter Gutter Protection

I am writing to share my experience with Leaf Filter regarding the installation and subsequent issues with the gutter system they provided for my home. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.

After having the gutter system with a mesh installed by Leaf Filter, I encountered two leaks within the first year. I promptly contacted the company, and they sent someone to repair the issues. I was assured that the problem was resolved.

However, approximately six months later, the same problem reoccurred in the exact same spots. When I reached out to the company again, explaining that the repairs they performed earlier were unsuccessful, I was informed that the warranty period of one year had expired. They insisted on charging me CAD 95 plus tax just for an inspection.
I emphasized that the issue had originally occurred within the warranty period and that their previous repair clearly did not address the problem.
This approach to customer service is extremely disappointing. A company should stand behind the quality of its work, especially when an issue arises repeatedly and was not resolved properly during the warranty period. I feel this situation is unfair and unreasonable.

Good product great install quite expensive relative to competitors. Salesperson was knowledgeable and install crew was efficient. Time from purchase to install was one day.

I needed my gutters cleaned and part of the gutters were approximately 30 feet up in the air. I wanted something that would protect them from getting clogged as I would not be able to clean them. Only problem I had was after cleaning them I found some pin holes. To be honest to prevent that they would have had to seal all the gutters as they would never have known that they were there.

The person who came was in time and he was very polite. He was by himself and worked quietly and quickly. There was no mess left behind. He did a good job and I would recommend anyone who is thinking about getting gutter guards to use this company.

Leaf Filter gutter guards have a serious design flaw. In heavy rain they cannot handle the flow that comes down from the valleys where two planes of the roof meet, so the water overshoots the gutter and falls to the ground - exactly what gutters are supposed to prevent. I called the company back, and the technician said that was what they were designed to do, to "let the system breathe", which is is nonsense. He then offered to put up vertical baffles at the points where the flow comes down, but said they would require cleaning from time to time - exactly what we bought Leaf Filter guards to avoid. He did that, and now the water backs up and comes down between the gutter and the fascia board. In time this will rot the fascia board. I am seriously disappointed in this product, and regret buying it.

Our sales rap was Andrew and it was friendly and professional and explain everything in detail.

RN stower was Daniel he showed app on time and it was a really nasty day 5 with very strongEnds wins I suggested that it was not a good day to be out let alone to be on a rooftop and I will be quite happy if he would come back the following day when the weather was to be much better. He thanked me for that offer but refused to go back to the office of the shop and said he was quite happy and prepared to get the job started what she did. It came back the following day to do this the second story and I must admit the weather was much better. He explained everything to me it took pictures of everything that he has installed I watched them clean the gutters and put all the refuse into a bucket.. The installation went exactly as Andrew said it would. Impatient of the job Daniel again show me all the pictures of both the first level on the second level and I was very impressed with how it looked. Daniel was extremely personable and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend that if you have a choice you should ask for Daniel. When the job was complete Daniel took the time to go round and clean everything up and left no debris anywhere I was very impressed with his work ethic and friendliness . I walked around after he left I could not find a thing that was left behind. Andrew and Daniel were exceptionally professional. They are a credit to the company.

Salesman was polite and knowledge re: his product. However, the "no obligation" quote was not accurate. It was like dealing with a car salesman, meaning that it was a hard sell and had to go back to his manager who immediately was willing to give us a "deal" if we signed on the dotted line on the spot. Not the way we do business.

Leaf Filter installed a new eavestrough for me a couple of years ago. At that time I couldn't afford to also install the leaf filter. This year I called back and explained I was a customer and wanted to get a quote for the leaf filter system . The person I spoke to told me she would have someone call me right away. When I got no response after a month I went with another supplier. Last week I finally got a call from The Leaf Filter rep. He became upset and aggressive when I explained what happened. He blamed me for calling the wrong Leaf filter telephone number and said I had voided the warranty for the eavestrough by using a different supplier. At no time did he apologize for the late phone call to give me a quote or acknowledge any responsibility. I would not use such rude people again.

I contacted LeafFilter to get a quote on fixing my gutters as they were making noise on windy days. I ignored the red flag of the sales person pressure tactics to sign contract right away as he had slashed the cost of fixing the issue by more than half and that deal was only available if I signed right away. I agreed to sign because this sales person was so confident that he knew the issue as he had experience the same thing at his house. He guaranteed that they could fix the problem. Well $1000 later the issue still exist and I am reminded of this on windy days
I will add that when I contacted LeafFilter they did send someone out, but they problem was never fixed.
