Its been over a year and I continue to see the neglect and poor craftsmanship of Fabio. He did not install our kitchen cabinets appropriately (screws were missing and the cabinets are not straight and aligned ), our bedroom closet doors dont line up and the closets dont close, he didnt complete the installation of our living room baseboards so there is a gap between the floors and the walls, he didnt finish the dry wall behind our kitchen appliances the list goes on. Do not trust this pathetic excuse of a contractor.

Contractor abandoned job leaving us with $13,000 in outstanding work. Fabio was hired to do a basement reno and a couple of other jobs around the house. The basement reno was completed to 90% functionality. Workmanship is average with drywall seams visible throughout. French doors he installed in the basement office do not close or open properly. A wet bar we wanted installed is unfinished because he tried to install a 24 deep cabinet in a 20 cavity which would have resulted in the hallway being too narrow for building code. Instead of offering a solution or returning that portion of value, he just stated, thats custom cabinet work, I dont do that.

He replaced our sliding patio door with French doors however, he did not install them properly or finish the job. He left them exposed to the elements through the winter snow and ran causing additional damage after we repeatedly asked him to seal it up. He continued to say he needed to wait for warmer weather. There was no sills or pan installed and the wood around the door is now damaged.

He left live electrical cables within reach or children. He did not tell us they were live, and because he did not label the electrical box properly we, the owners had to play find the breaker.

He uses dap and wood filler as if it is an industry standard to fill larger gaps in joints. Left finishing nails sticking through wood, trim.

He did not properly sand the hardwood stairs before staining, resulting in blotchy areas where the stain did not take.

There are many other items, too numerous to mention here. Ask if you want more details or pictures. It is all documented and all included in our contract with him.

Fabio did a decent job with my kitchen renovation, but months after the project was finished I began noticing areas that were incomplete. These include spots along the ceiling that were not patched with drywall/paint, nail holes along the baseboard that were not filled, at least five cabinets do not have soft close clasps, and he did not come to repair a kitchen carousel that broke after he told me to buy a new one. Despite aggressive communication on my end to uphold the one-year warranty, Fabio only came once and did not finish the remaining projects. He said if he came back it would be a "courtesy".
For the amount of money I spent, I am very disappointed in his work. He lacks attention to detail and does not uphold the one-year warranty in his contract that covers normal wear and tear. I would not recommend him.

Fabio comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge. All work necessary flowed through him, plumbing, electrical, renovator which saved time and effort to out source separately.
He did a great job transforming my small kitchen into a bright, organized beautiful kitchen. He went out of his way on two occasions to return after the end of the day to fix an
unplanned issue as well as repair that was outside the scope of the reno and it was much appreciated. He was a pleasure to work with.

Fabio was very professional and organized. He walked me through the step by step process of the renovation and put my mind at ease of the stresses, any type of renovation carries. He was always available when I needed to ask him a question. Fabio was very hands on with the job and new every day where the project was. I would definitely recommend Fabio and Valley Contracting to anyone asking for a contractor and renovations completed.

The addition included:
Excavation, block foundation, framing, steel beams, opening of exsisting exterior brick wall and constructing a temporary wall, insulation, installing windows and french doors, drywall, BEAUTIFUL TRAY CEILING, hardwood flooring to match existing with out transition, MILL WORK to match existing and trim, outside Hardie Board siding, gutters and a steel roof to match existing.
THIS CREATED A BEAUTIFUL ADDITION WHICH FEELS LIKE PART OF THE ORIGINAL HOME.
VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY AND THE THINKING OF THE INDIVIDUALS TO MAKE THE PROCESS AS EASY AS POSSIBLE.

Fabio and his team were amazing. My kitchen was old and very outdated. Fabio sat down with me and went through every detail of what was to be expected. His team was prompt and very efficient. Not one detail went overlooked. He is very patient and answered every single question I had with great knowledge so that I had a thorough understanding every step of the way. He stayed on budget and came through for me with a beautiful new kitchen.

I would like to commend Valley Contracting for the excellent job in completing my basement renovation and home refresh. Fabio and his team of professionals provided me with a complete basement renovation, painting of my entire home, exterior landscape and electrical work in the time period that was required before I moved into my new. Fabio provided me with renovation feedback and ideas that I didn’t initially consider, and it resulted in a better functioning space. He was within budget and on time and his team were clean, curious and efficient. I would definitely recommend Valley Contracting for anyone looking for a home renovation or extension, and I will definitely use them in the future for any subsequent renovations in my home.
