Kirk and his crew came to our rescue when we discovered a serious structural problem with our home during a bathroom reno. Our existing contractor discovered an outer wall that should have been load bearing instead had studs that crumbled under minimal force (basically just pinching it lightly with fingers), and said that they could not fix this. Kirk showed up the day after, saw the problem, and set up shoring posts immediately. Thankfully, he was able to squeeze the 2-3 day structural fix into his crews schedule between two larger jobs, which then allowed my original bathroom contractor to resume their work.
Some of the things I appreciated about Kirk in particular was:
1. Clear written and verbal communication before, during, and after the project so that I knew how to best prepare, what was in scope and out of scope, and how things were going
2. Taking us step by step through working with the structural engineer.
3. Guidance and list of recommendations he provided once the project was completed
4. Recommendations and referrals for other unrelated things I found myself in need to fix in my home
Next time I need to do a reno or any job involving structural work, Kirk would be the first person Id reach out to.
