This company installed a new furnace igniter in my senior parents home 5 months ago. It cost $560. Today (with the weather hovering at -13*) the igniter piece broke again. My parents had to call for an emergency repair but they were sure it would be covered under warranty as the original bill claimed.when the technician came he confirmed it was the igniter piece and said it would be covered however labour and the service call was full price- amounting to $350 plus tax. My parents were distraught as they live off a small pension and every dollar counts. I kindly asked the tech if he could provide any discounts as he was literally there only 5 months earlier. He said “you get the part free”. My parents were really upset and he clearly took it personally and said he “didn’t have to install the new part and started packing up his bag. He was going to leave my 87 yr old father in this cold snap with NO HEAT. I asked him to please do the repair and while he did, I looked up their website only to find plastered on their site a “Seniors discount” of 15%!!! I asked him about it and he argued that it was “actually only 10%”. I showed him my phone and he begrudgingly agreed to give us the discount. Then I realized they didn’t get the discount 5 months ago and asked if he could apply it to this invoice. He said “No- we only give the discount if it’s asked for” and that “it’s just a marketing gimmick” for the company to get customers! He said “all businesses do that but it’s not meant to give out to everybody cus they have to make money”! Well as a business owner myself who DOES offer senior discounts and make sure EVERY SENIOR” get it- I was disgusted. This company touts itself as “compassionate, Honest and dependable”... I have never been so offended and I wouldn’t recommend this company to fix a DOG house let alone the home of a loved one. One things for sure- they got their last dollar from MY parents...

The customers daughter who wrote the review did not read the first invoice carefully, because it states that there is a 30 day service warranty and a year part warranty. We received the call and our technician came 2 hours later and he checked the invoice and did not charge the part due to the fact that it was within the year warranty.
The senior customers must ask for the discount and state that they're senior for the discount to apply,
The company stands behind their workmanship. Technician explained upfront clearly before he charged.
