First Drywall

We had a water damage in our basement. The plumber had to take down a large part of the wall and the ceiling. We called a few contractors but they were reluctant to take on a small job like this. Guys a First drywall were the first to react. (Hence the name I guess). The job was completed very quickly. The mud had to dry a few days. Overall we are grateful and satisfied with the job. We needed to remove old plaster from our two bedrooms and the kitchen and replace it with new drywall. Most contractors were hesitant to take such a messy and quite a small job. When I called First Drywall they came to see the house on the same day and gave us a quote that was very competitive. We liked working with their team, which showed to be very professional. The plaster was removed within 2 days. New drywall was installed in 1 day and it took 4 days to finish the taping. We liked the results and recommend First Drywall to anyone who needs a renovation.

We were doing renovation in our house in Etobicoke. After we have removed the old walls and fixed the electrical and plumbing we needed about 100 drywall sheets installed on the main and the second floor. Also we needed a good taping crew to deal with our old framing. First drywall team did an amazing job, the were moderately priced, and what we liked the most that they stayed in constant contact with us, updating on the progress and any issues with the house. I had a relatively small renovation project in my bathroom. Changed the bathtub and also all the walls. Many contractors didn't want to even look at my job, was too small for them. First drywall sent David for a quick estimate and 3 days later they were already working. They finished drywall in a couple of hours and then needed to return a few times to finish taping and sanding and do the priming. All in all I am satisfied with the team work and the end result. I have a sound recording studio in my basement that i needed to soundproof to improve my work quality and so that I can work at night without disturbing my family. George from First Drywall analyzed my basement and gave me a lot recommendation including building a suspended ceiling and an extra wall to keep the noise inside. It took only about a week to complete the project and it is completely sound insulated, cant hear a thing when I am outside. And the taping and finishing job is very neat. I would definitely recommend to hire First Drywall guys.

I am converting my house into a small bnb and needed to make some renovation done. In particular removing stucco from my ceiling. Also I needed some plaster replacement with drywall, demolition of one wall and building two other wall to create one extra room. First drywall team did an excellent job - they removed the popcorn ceiling and made it smooth, now it looks fantastic. First John and Robert came to demolish the wall, the next day they did the framing and were removing the stucco. In 2 days Mike and Phillip started taping and finished within 5 days. Fantastic and fast job ahead of schedule. Will ne hiring them for further renovations.

Drywall taping was something my husband didn't want to do on his own. He said, it has to be done by professionals only. He did drywall installation himself in our 2 story house, but for drywall taping we hired First Drywall. The pricing was reasonable. When I talked to Dave and he explained how drywall taping is done I was confident enough, they were the right choice. They sent two tapers and finished the whole house in a week.
