Doorbell camera doesn't work and doorlock keypad doesn't light up
My doorbell camera doesn't work and the doorlock keypad doesn't light up and it keeps going off line. I was told it would cost $300 for each part. This is ridiculous as I have a 5 year contract and the system doesn't work properly. Very dissatisfied and will not be renewing the contract or recommending this system to anyone.

Empower Security has not recently quoted any costs for replacement of the equipment described in your post it sounds like you may have had a discussion with your alarm company Brinks Home Security. We were the local company that may have installed your system & serviced your system on behalf of Brinks but your complaint is with them. We have no ability to negotiate any costs for replacement of equipment & would not quote prices for them. However,most contracts do have service warranty for the duration of your term that covers normal wear & tear on your basic alarm system but this does not usually cover add on features such as smart locks & cameras or when you've done renovations, damage done by clients or acts of god. I would suggest to call Brinks to negotiate replacement as they are usually open to this.
