Mike and his team were awesome to work with on our first renovation. We tore down multiple walls on our main floor, put in a new kitchen and floors, replaced our floors on the second floor, and finished our basement.
Mike was always helping us save money where possible and keeping us up to date with any issues we encountered. His team was great to deal with, always happy to walk us through the work and make sure we were happy with the result. With any issues that arose, Mike was always quick to communicate and guide us through the solutions.

We hired Mike to transform our first floor, which was a former duplex with a bunch of small rooms to an open concept floor plan. He also renovated our 2nd floor ensuite washroom and replaced all the floors on both levels. We couldn’t have been happier with the work. He was on time and on budget. He was great with offering suggestions on how to save money when we could. The work is beautiful—his team was reliable and trustworthy. We used all of his recommendations for flooring, countertops, mill work and all of them were fantastic. We will definitely work with Mike again and would highly recommend him to others.

Our project was almost a full gut renovation. We had the basement refinished and underpinned. The main floor was opened up and renovated to include a revamped living room/dining space and a brand new kitchen. The second floor was expanded at the back of the house and refinished. And, we added a third floor master with en suite. The scope of the project was big and Mike and his team helped us navigate through big decisions with their knowledge and expertise. We are so incredibly happy with how our project turned out. Mike and his team worked tirelessly to build us a home that met our needs, budget and aesthetic. Mike is an honest, trustworthy, problem solving, knowledgeable and communicative contractor. We feel lucky to have hired him. He was a pleasure to work with and we would not hesitate recommending him to others.

Mike's company was recommended to us by a friend and it lived up to all the hype and expectations and some. He is a true professional and understands the needs of his clients. He walked us through every step of his thinking for our project. He takes feedback and comes back with new ideas and improvements. We needed work done quickly during the busy summer months , he was able to accommodate us even when we wanted to move in before the work was done.

He challenged a couple of the architect's ideas and we are glad he did because our kitchen looks fabulous and our bathroom is the envy of the neighborhood.

Mike Hapers and his crew were amazing. Not only did they complete our job on time, but also on or under budget. Mike works with impressive trades people who clearly took a lot of care with our home and the end result is stunning. He and his crew treated the house with a lot of care and were very considerate to keep things clean as they worked. I really appreciated the way that Mike quoted the job; item by item in a clear and concise way so we could easily understand what each element cost and when things were going to be done. He was there to co-ordinate all of the sub-trades and answered all of our questions and concerns and provided advice when we encountered unforeseen obstacles. Mike doesn’t cut corners. He takes the time to let you know exactly what the issue is, and comes up with reasonable and sensible options. He takes care of everything for you, from the smallest things like daily clean-up/garbage removal, to more complicated affairs like plumbing and electrical. He really made us feel like there was nothing to worry about (we heard a lot of horror stories about contractors). And he managed to deliver a beautiful home on-time, and on-budget! We couldn’t be happier with the home he built for us. We would definitely call him again for any additional projects required around the house.

Mike and his team are AMAZING!!! It's difficult to put into words how HAPPY we are with Haper's Home Renovations. Mike was right on budget, and two weeks EARLY!!! In the construction business, that never happens!!! This entire process has been nothing but easy and stress-free (that also never happens!!!)

From Mike's detailed quote and schedule to finishing our project on time and on budget - my wife and our family (and friends) are extremely happy with the finished project. Mike has pride in his work and truly cares how the client feels about the progress of the job and the end results. He kept us informed of upcoming steps and progress of the project, always giving us opportunities to discuss design changes (if needed) and to explain the construction process. There were even times where Mike found us opportunities for savings and the chance to redirect funds to necessary structural work and plumbing. Mike, Gord and the crew always kept a clean worksite and were always courteous and friendly to our neighbours.
