Sergey and his crew at Tornado Plumbing were courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He came back to the house twice to give an estimate and to answer all my questions. He made sure I felt confident moving forward with the work.

After some basement renovations of my 100 year old Victorian house I realized I had serious water leakage problems at different locations within the basement. I contacted Tornado Plumbing as per very positive reviews on Homestars to provide an assessment of the work needed. After careful inspection of my house Serghiy (Sergey) provided his assessment where a number of issues were apparent. 1) the whole side of the house next to the neighbours needed to be done, 2) a backyard portion containing interlocking stone needed to be done, 3) a previously installed 0.33 horse power sump pump section needed to be incorporated, and 4) waterproofing of a basement room from the inside as there was an add-on section of the house lacking a foundation was required. Serghiy provided a solution where the whole basement (house) would be waterproofed with surrounding weeping tiles connecting to the previously installed sump pump location with a 0.5 horse power upgraded sump pump. This assessment was similar to another contractor’s proposal however the price was by far more reasonable. The job was completed within record time where they worked on a Saturday – despite finding a 1.5 meter granite rock at the foundation of the house that could not be removed – so that added waterproof lining had to encapsulate the rock. Despite the extra work and material, the quoted price was maintained. The interlocking stone was replaced exactly as it was and the site was cleaned up completely after the work was completed. The result was a very pleased customer who highly recommends Tornado Plumbing.

Tornado Plumbing gave us the most reasonable quote for about 35ft of exterior waterproofing, which included three new window wells and concrete filling of the stone foundation, along with the essential sump pump, weeping tile, and a complimentary camera drain inspection. They were quick to respond for quoting and took time to fully explain each step of the waterproofing process. Scheduling of the job was quick and easy. The job was fully completed within 1 week and the site was clean upon completion. We highly recommend their services to anyone with waterproofing needs.

We had a sewage back up. And the plumber we called and who opened the blockage told us we had to repair the pipe and quoted us a very high amount for it. So we decided to call Tornado plumbing due to their good raitings.
Sergey turned out to be friendly reliable knowlegable and efficient. He kept his first quote he gave us over the phone after we decribed him the problem which was a third of what the previous plumber had quoted us. I would use his services again any time but hope I will not have too....

Sergei came the very next day after I called to analysis what was wrong. We had water coming up from the shower and laundry drain. After a careful inspection he indicated there were roots that were blocking the drain and possible issue with the Y joint. He answered all our questions with lots of patience and explanation. His crew was very professional and hard working. They stayed until the early evening to get the job done in the same day. All the debris was removed after the job was done and they left it tidy. The crew replaced the drains, Y connection and replace an old clay pipe. We are very happy with the job and would definitely recommend Sergui to anyone with plumbing issues! He is honest and very patient. Thank you awesome job!!

Over the years, I've had the kitchen sink back up couple of times and used various drain cleaning liquids to clear up the drain. However, the problem kept recurring.

I then hired an electric Auger from Home depot and snaked the pipes in the basement. However, even though it seemed successful at first, the drain would back up every year. After three consecutive years of using the Auger, I finally wanted a permanent solution, that's when I called Tornado plumbing.

Sergey came in with a camera to diagnose the situation, however, due to the build-up and a potential kink in the pipes the camera couldn't travel far enough to diagnose the problem. We finally had to power flush the pipe before getting a better view of the situation. We then observed that the Y connector was leaning backwards, hence was building up on debris and grease. The solution was to excavate and replace the Y joint and install a backwater valve. This was done in a very professional and timely manner.

They did the work very neat and thoroughly. I would recommend them to my friends. I didn’t expect that they will do very quickly and would always clean up after their work. They always care about their work, neatness and clean. They are very nice, professional and easy to approach and they are the best contractor I’ve ever met and I would use them again in future.

We had a clogged kitchen sink the night before a weekend with lots of visitors. Sergey came to our house that night and promptly solved the problem. He snaked the sink, finding a clog a long way down. He was very courteous and efficient, and inexpensive. We recommend him highly.
