From first contact for an estimate to the end of our project Tornado Plumbing hands down is the best customer service experience we have had for our house maintenance issues. Not only great customer service but also that feeling of legitimate interest and honesty.

We wanted to get our basement renovated but felt we should address some water seepage issues we have had in the past so we obtained quotes from several companies. Serhiy came the same day and provided written quotes for each of the options we discussed shortly thereafter. Quotes were very competitive, clear and detailed.

Our exterior had issues such as big shrubs and boulders to deal with and move. Wasyl and Bohdan showed up as scheduled and covered the walkway and other areas near the excavation with protective board and padding! They provided updates and showed us any issues they "uncovered". Serhiy came by to assess and provide solutions which we appreciated. Our weeping tiles were full of sand and roots so this waterproofing was a must! We appreciated the attention to detail and service so much that we decided to have the other side of our foundation waterproofed as well. Serhiy was able to fit us in and the entire job was completed within 5 days. Oh, and they replanted our smaller bushes and shrubs and put our boulders back as well!!

We were so comfortable and impressed with Tornado that we got them to do inside plumbing jobs as well.

I just placed a call with this company to fix lack of hot water; within an hour I received call back and got an appointment next day. Mr. Surgay is extremely courteous and very efficient. I was given explanation in every steps and got the issue fixed in few minutes. From now on I will contact this company first before anyone else.

We had a drained clog and we rented a electric snake from home depot and we tried to snake it but it didn’t work and it all came back. The entire house smelt terrible. We were looking for a plumber to fix our problem and I checked online and found Tornado Plumbing and Drain, they cane to our house and they also tried to snake it with an elective powers snake. They used a camera to find the problem outside of our house. They recommend us to do an excavation and also install back floor valve. They did the excavation and installed the back floor valve and fixed the problem, replacing the drain, and installed a clean out and we passed an Inspection by the City of Toronto. We are very happy with Tornado Plumbing and Drains and I have recommended to my friends and neighbours for doing a good job with reasonable price.

The workers (2)- showed up on time 9:00 AM- introduced themselves and covered the floors with cloth tarp-they knew what the job was beforehand and talked with me to confirm-although the Owner was not there this time-he called and spoke with the workers and me before the job commenced. These men worked diligently and I inspected the progress occasionally. Contents in the basement had to be moved, they were tarped/protected without me having to ask and they alerted me to the progress and showed me what was "happening". The workers were extremely amicable, professional and just provided a sense of calm and confidence in what could have been described as anxious moments when the "operation " was ongoing....because you're always imagining the worst.
I saw the broken concrete, the ditch, the current pipes, the cut-away clogged pipes, the length and the new pipes to be installed, the gravel and the slight slope of the pipe to the street connection, the new "hub" /kitchen pipe connection and finally the finished upgraded and superior concrete that was poured ...all to current code.....The Crew cleaned up the entire mess-immaculately- and gave me a 10/10 pleasant experience....I have, based on my experience, not the slightest hesitation to recommend this company ---all work-done in 1 day and it was painless....There was a final inspection and the owner called to make sure everything was 100%, and he came over the next day to check and that's when I gave him his cheque. My wife and I noticed that the kitchen sink would back up whenever we did laundry. It slowly got worse over time, and then I noticed a bit of a leak developing.

Not wanting to take any chances I called a plumber with good reviews -- they never called back. If they hadn't I wouldn't have found Tornado Plumbing & Drains.

I contacted them and received a quick response from Serhiy. We talked about the problem and made an appointment for the next day.

Serhiy arrived early, and got right to business. First he used a camera to find the blockage (which was cool to watch), then thoroughly snaked the drain. No more backups!

Great service Professional and knowledgeable. 3rd time I have used their services. Shows up on time - gives you options,communicates any issues that comes up , sticks to quotation given and cleans up afterwards.

The work was completed in the fall of 2019, but I wanted to wait for some bad weather before writing this review. After a series of rain storms and heavy snow falls, I can be confident in providing an accurate review of the work.

Firstly, Sergei's team is professional. My husband contacted 3 other companies for the work, but none of them wanted to come down in person to survey the area. We didn't feel comfortable with this because we had questions that we wanted to ask in person at the house. Sergei came down, surveyed the area and answered all of our questions. We were happy with the suggested work so we went with him.

Secondly, they are efficient and honest. The original estimate was 3 days to put in weeping tiles, new sump pump, dig out the old concrete pad, remove the debris and pour new concrete. However, when they dug out the existing pad, they found that the rebar was not put in properly by the previous company, which is why it was cracking so badly. They easily could have said nothing, poured in new concrete and we would probably be contacting them again in a few years for another fix when the concrete starts breaking up again. Instead, Sergei told us exactly what the problem was and how he could rectify it, but it would obviously take an extra 2 days and extra money. We appreciated his honesty and agreed to the extra work as it would save us money in the long run.

Lastly, I have one of those hard to please Asian fathers with super high standards. He stood guard and watched Sergei's team work for 5 days. His response was that they are quite good (which is high praise coming from him). He found them quite meticulous, very diligent and was happy with the quality of their work.

I would 100% recommend Sergei and his team to anyone who has water coming into their basement. It's been a few months and our basement doesn't even feel damp. On the stormy days, you can see the sump pump working away, and there are no standing pools of water on the concrete pad. If you want someone efficient, punctual, honest and professional, call Sergei. You won't be disappointed.
