This company has low standards and sketchy business practices. If you don't have any furniture items you care for, go ahead and use this company. However, when we used the company for our last move, we had a terrible experience. Prior to the move, we experienced a couple red flags. They never called to confirm our move, even after we called the office and emailed to confirm, and we had trouble verifying that we even had movers booked.
When the move started, even though we requested that our furniture be wrapped in blankets and treated carefully, the movers were in a rush and did not wrap our antique dining room table. The head mover had asked us to sign a waiver and I had tried to take the time to read it, but he just kept saying "Sign, sign, sign." When I asked what the document was he said it was "just standard." I felt pressured because they were not properly masked in our home, the move coordinator was not and would not maintain proper social distance, and the movers were already halfway through the move and had moved almost all of our boxes as well as some furniture when the paperwork was presented.
After not wrapping our furniture, they deeply scratched the surface of our 70+ year old table, which will require it to be completely refinished. When we attempted to file a claim, they said that we had signed a waiver which instructed the movers to not wrap any of the furniture. The waiver (photo attached) is not legible because of the large "Hercules Moving Company" logo over the text. I was also not provided with a copy of the waiver.
Do not use this company. While they promise great service at a great price, they have poor business practices and terrible customer service.

- Company Response
Hello Lillian,
We appreciate your feedback and take it very seriously. It has always been our aim to provide the best services to our clients. We are sorry that you didn't receive the service that you expected. While the situation is not the norm for our company, we will be explaining what has happened through the whole moving process.
1. Furniture packing into moving blankets and shrink wrap doesn't come in additional cost; it just takes more time to do that. The client refused to have its furniture packed to save extra time on packing.
2. Lead mover gave the waiver to read and sign, which says that the company is not responsible for any damages if the client refused the packing service.
3. The client read and sign the waiver. By signing a waiver means a client comprehends what was signed. If the waiver's context is important enough to write it down, the client must read it. The ignorance of what was written doesn't release the client from responsibility.
4. We ask all of our clients to sign a liability waiver if they choose not to have their items wrapped with blankets. The reasoning for this is quite simple: if furniture items are not properly protected with padding, they are exposed to the environment and consequently are more susceptible to damage. Thus, for clients who choose not to have their furniture packed and padded with blankets to protect against damage, we ask that they sign a liability waiver to protect the company against damaged furniture claims. The additional costs associated with having your furniture padded are the extra time it will take to wrap the furniture with the blankets. The waiver is there to give our clients the option of having their furniture wrapped or not wrapped. We don't believe that this constitutes coercion.Once again, please accept our apologies.
Yours truly,
Hercules Moving Company.
