Love Your Stairs

The attention to detail was non-existent with his team for my stair refinish and new railing and spindles installation.
• the stairs and some parts of the new posts and railings are rough (not sanded and smoothed properly), and part of the handrail is splintering
• stain/paint lines on the 2-tone stairs are a complete disaster and not straight (I have resigned myself to redo)
• the stain is inconsistent on the refinished steps
• the part where the railing meets the wall has noticeable holes at the top that have not been properly covered, and the wall behind was not patched up prior to installation to accommodate
• a couple of the spindles do not line up with the others properly
• screw holes on the underside of part of the railing that was not patched up when they had to redo some spindles
• some of the spindles are not flush at the top (where not cut down enough to accommodate the top part). These are just the items that are still outstanding.

Items redone when noticed during work in progress included and were fixed while the crew was onsite:
• spindles not spaced out correctly
• Spindle shoes facing every which was (they had to remove most of them and reposition the spindle shoes)
• the railing was sticking out 2” and looked like it was taking up 1/3 of the steps (complete railing needed to be removed adjusted to 1” as I originally requested)
I was going to use them to redo the hardwood on my main floor but chose to go with another flooring company due to the lack of attention to detail from this company. They do a great job on carpeting (which they replaced on my second floor), but stairs are not something I would recommend them for.
Despite contacting Rizwan numerous times since September, it took over 3 months for the stair/railing installer to even come back to my house to look at the deficiencies. Needless to say, the items were never fixed.
