We contracted with Thomas and his crew/subcontractors to complete a first floor renovation for our 1970's home including a new kitchen. We had them remove a load bearing wall and open up the floor space for our new kitchen / dining room. They were extremely professional, competitive in terms of price and fully transparent with us as clients as the project moved along. There were no surprises along the way and Thomas and his crew were very flexible if we wanted to change something or explore additional options. They were truly a pleasure to have in our home and the final product exceeded our expectations!!! I would highly recommend Murdock Construction to anyone!

We hired Murdock Construction for a 6 week project to basically gut the main floor of our new house. Right off the get go, we were impressed with the attention to detail of the quote.

Thomas provided detailed estimated timelines and we had daily communication with him. This made the planning of materials really easy. Thomas was also on the ball when it came to communication, if we ever had any questions or concerns, he would often get back to us within minutes. He was very easy to get a hold of, and they showed up for work every day.

We were mostly impressed with Thomas’ attention to detail. The hardwood floor and trim installed throughout our main floor were installed with utmost precision.

Overall, it was a fairly painless experience considering they gutted our entire first floor, tore down walls and reno’d the kitchen, washroom, and hardwood floor and trim to the entire main floor. We didn’t live there for the 6 week reno, however the house was always left in pristine condition at the end of every work day and if we happened to come by when either Thomas or Josiah were there we were always greeted very politely. These guys are professionals and I would highly recommend them.

Thomas Murdock will bring professionalism and perfectionism to your project. We did a kitchen and a bathroom and we're very happy with both. They were completely gutted. It took about two months because of some delays with procurement, that were mostly my fault, and parts of the project that needed extra attention (leveling floors).

If something isn't up to his exacting standards (or yours) Thomas will fix it, when possible. He uses great sub-contractors who do excellent work (shout out to Drennan Tile). He will try to save you money where possible (IKEA cabinets) but is very flexible with any upgrades you want to make. He recommended Swedish Door for the cabinet doors and that was a great recommendation. Thomas will come back and fix any problems related to the project. If he sees a problem with what you're asking, he will mention it or give his opinion about why certain things are a bad idea. All of his workers and the sub-contractors were respectful of us and our home. The air was kept clean. I could go on. Can't say enough good things about Thomas, Josiah and everyone who worked on the project.

Great job by Murdock Construction during last winter for our main bathroom renovation, starting with early support with our design needs. Project included demolition, large porcelain floor and wall tiles, expanded new glass shower and free standing tub. The reno was done on time with friendly workers, good organization with materials and suppliers, daily cleanup, and very good installation from the plumbing and electrical contractors. Will recommend to others.

Thomas and his team did an amazing job of transforming a few rooms in our house for us. In particular, Thomas had a keen eye for creating an amazing stone fireplace wall we love that is the focal point of our new family room and he had great ideas for making the space our own while staying in our budget. The crew was always on time, friendly, and did an awesome job of leaving things super tidy when they left for the day. I absolutely recommend Murdock Construction Inc for your next home project!

We hired Murdock Construction to complete our kitchen backsplash. We provided the tiles, and they supplied everything else (we were able to chose grout color). Thomas explained the reasoning for choosing one product over an other and provided me with assurance that he could complete the job well. I am a very picky customer and was sure to tell him ahead of time and he insured me that quality was what he wants his company known for.

Final product is fantastic, do me on time AND by far the least expensive out of the quotes I got! We have other projects coming down the line and will definitely be calling this company!
