On February 3rd, 2021, Home Appliance Care came to conduct a diagnostic on my GE Top Load washing machine. The technician quickly identified the problem and told me what had to be done. He then proceeded to talk explain details about the job that were unnecessary to the repair, take calls from his office and other customers, and then show me pictures about other jobs unrelated to mine while detailing how "dumb" he thought the other customer was. He proceeded to talk for 40 min and then charge me for all the discussion at $20 per 10 min for a total bill of $250. At the end of the hour, he told me I needed parts he didn't have and that he could come back and fix them but it would cost another $350-500. He indicated the machine would work in the mean time while we waited on the parts. The machine worked for two loads and now will not spin again. Upon calling head office to inform them of the unsatisfactory work, they indicated that the machine won't work without the new parts - even that he said it would and the fact that it did work. $250 for a discussion and a broken washing machine. Terrible company, terrible service.
