Urban Stonework

The experience working with William / Urban Stonework from start to finish was fantastic. Very helpful advice on the design and excellent clarity on timelines and costs made for a very positive experience.

Attention to detail and quality of the workmanship was exactly what we hoped for, and we do consider ourselves very particular and picky.

The team took the time to answer all our many questions and meet all our specific requests. Always felt comfortable and confident with the information we were provided and never felt rushed. Worked directly with William and the same team from start to finish on our project.

Urban Stonework was referred to us by a friend and overall we are extremely happy with our experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent contractor for their paving stone project.

Urban Stonework was recommended to me by my brother who used the company. They did a great job at his place so we met with William. He was on time and very helpful in our first meeting. I was quite overwhelmed by trying to figure out the design of this but William had amazing ideas and talked me through each step of the project. He and his crew were super friendly and professional while doing the work. The project was finished on time and on budget which we greatly appreciated. Terrific communication from the lead up to the project to its completion. We are absolutely THRILLED with how the patio looks and have received a number of compliments from visiting friends and family. Amazing company and will be using them again for any and all stone work we have in the future.

We have used Urban Stonework (William Inglis is the owner, estimator, designer, and primary stonemason) about 3 times and keep coming back. In fact it has reached the point where we are looking for a job her could do because it is so pleasant and unusual to get a result that is so completely satisfactory and enduring.

Three years ago he rebuilt our front porch and walkway. The porch had been repaired by others at least three times since it had been built 15 years ago, and invariably, in spite of promises to the contrary, one or two winters found us with the flagstones separating and the steps loose. Not this time. Mr. Inglis knew what the problem was, and proposed a solution that not only has been enduring, but looks better than what we had before. The quality of the work is excellent, he comes when he promises, finishes on time, checks back to see if we are satisfied, and communicates admirably. He has inventively solved other problems for us as well. His price is competitive and the whole experience has been a pleasure each time.

My experience with William Inglis at Urbanstoneworks was terrific from beginning to,end of the project. His company returned calls immediately and William's prompt replies and updates were much appreciated. He had excellent ideas for our project and his enthusiasm and honesty were wonderful as well as rare these days. Rather than try to persuade us to more pricey options, he suggested attractive but less expensive options for some of the work. The clean- up was thorough as well as the work itself. We are so happy with the results and highly recommend Urbanstoneworks!

Will was professional, knowledgable and easy to work with and the job was done on time and on budget. His work exceeded my expectations and I would recommend them and also use them again if I need more stonework done.

William has completed several jobs at my house over the past couple of years. He was even willing to fix some very poor stonework a previous person had done. William did an excellent job in all cases – the stonework and parging looks great, he was always on time, communicated frequently to keep me update on the progress and did an amazing job cleaning up. He is also very personable and easy to work with. I will definitely call on William again and would highly recommended him for any stone work!!

|· In our experience we were faced with an emergency repair of a support pillar after an eavesdrop upgrade. Our cladding had covered some original builder faults. We contacted many , amongst many companies that judged our job to small to care or tend to BUT not Stonework™. Will; what a blessing this young man was; reassured us not to worry and he fit us in and travelled a significant distance during morning rush hour & attended to our urgent needs. Will, has the utmost quality customers service and regards to the issue's in need of work. Great work all round...great work! We will also add, even though he didn't have to, he tended to other small needs he observed without hesitation. This man will always be welcome in our Home and is our "GO TO GUY" anything related to Masonry...PERIOD.

We have an older house in one of Toronto's old neighbourhoods. Our front retaining wall and front walk were breaking apart and aside from the aesthetics we were concerned about safety. Will came out and provided us with several options - always keeping in mind price as well as blending the new look with the current surroundings. He came up with a repair solution for the wall that retained the original look, while ensuring the safety and ongoing longevity of the wall. He and his team installed a new walk which looks terrific and has updated the look and appeal of the front of the house. He listens to what you say, offers different options, then does what he says. Great to work with. Highly recommended.

We had a 300 sq. ft. area that was an eyesore and decided to have it bricked over. William not only came in with the best price, he was also great to work with. Very conscientious, great communicator, and finished job on time. Love the work he and his team did and would highly recommend him to anyone having interlock or retaining walls done.

Last summer I had Urban Stonework do an interlock driveway/parking pad and natural stone patio prior to selling my home in Toronto. William was able to create a plan that worked with my budget which also included some simple landscaping in the front and back. The end result was fantastic. The front of the house was transformed - this curb appeal really helped to generate interest and ultimately get it sold.
