Hot Water tank

I previously had 2 other companies unsuccessfully attempt to fix my leaking old hot water tank. Both companies left a mess when they left, and the problem wasn't fixed. Then my daughter found HeatWorks for me on the Homestars website. Based on the many good reviews, I booked an appointment. Tyler was prompt, left everywhere immaculate and the price was very good. A very nice man who's service went above and beyond my expectations. I was very impressed.

Jim's Water Heater Heater Warranty

Found I had a leaking HW tank on Wednesday night. After some research and some calls decided on HeatWorks. Called and spoke with Tyler on Thursday who did a preliminary assessment over the phone and arranged for a 9am appointment the next day (Friday). Friday at 9am Tyler arrived with everything ready to go. Got right to work assessing the tank and connections and explained what he needed to do clearly. A few hours later I had a new tank and hot water. It was a warranty replacement, but at no point was there any pressure to buy another brand or a push to upgrade. I mentioned an issue with a previous furnace install (another company) where the air supply for the burner is drawing from the room rather than outside. Tyler asked if I would like a quote to put in a supply and It was very reasonable so I accepted. He stayed for another hour and a bit to install it and now the utility room isn't as cold (proper supply and venting). He also discovered that the exhaust from the furnace had not been properly installed (partially unglued and missing fire-proof caulking). He fixed it. Didn't question whether it should be fixed and didn't ask for extra to do it. All of this without leaving (he came prepared) and didn't take a break. Short version:Replaced the HW tank. Did it well. Fixed issues with someone else's work. Installed an additional request. Worked hard. Next time I have a plumbing issue or project, I will be calling HeatWorks.

Eric's water heater replacement

Tyler helped us to replace an old hot water tank. I very rarely write reviews for anything, but I felt compelled to do so because of his great work and customer service. I would definitely hire him again for any future work.

Gas Water Heater Replacement

Tyler is a great and honest guy. He educated us about our furnace and maintenance for it and our awesome new hot water tank. He took the time to patiently find our main water shutoff (it was very randomly hidden behind a panel in a guest bedroom instead of in our furnace room). He came quickly and was thorough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to someone who wants a job well done.

Strata plumbing and maintenance

Old valves and pressure regulators needed to be replaced in our aging strata/commercial building. Not only was it all neatly and quickly done, but Tyler made special arrangements to work around the opening hours of the restaurants and businesses.
And the end price was less than quoted!!
We will be using Heatworks for all our future Strata needs!!
Thank-you Tyler!!

Mike's Water Line Leak/prv

I had a slow leak in our main water supply line. Based on reviews here and the BBB listing I phoned HeatWorks and scheduled a visit. I'm very happy with HeatWorks (Tyler):
- He is polite and on-time.
- Explains the problem and how he recommends repairing it. Suggests different options.
- The final price was as quoted. No surprises after completion.
- Quality work. Takes pride in his work.
- Very tidy. Wears shoe covers inside the house, prevents water from spilling.
- Cleans up afterwards. No packaging or garbage left behind.
- Patiently answers my plumbing questions and suggests future upgrades and preventative maintenance.

I can confidently recommend HeatWorks. -Mike

Dead Furnace and Old Water Tank

We returned from out of town shortly before New Year, to find our 40-year old furnace had well and truly died. We called Tyler, having found him on HomeStars. He was able to come over the same day we called and took measurements. We are in a 100-year old house and the heating had been renovated in the 1970's. There were problems! Tyler returned with the new furnace and arranged for a new and improved duct to be fabricated. He pulled out a lot of old, badly designed duct work and installed the new furnace. He also noticed that our hot water tank was about to go - something we could not see from the front but was clear from the back of it.
He had to work in a difficult area but was very clean and tidy.
Tyler is very focussed on customer service. He worked 12 hours on New Year's Eve, not leaving our house until after 9:00 pm. Throughout the weekend he returned to complete the work and showed us how to balance the house so that the hot air goes where we need it.
Tyler gave us a lot of information about the new system and advice for when we renovate our basement. He is an excellent communicator, he did what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. There were no surprises except at how great it was to work with Tyler. We look forward to introducing him to our friends and family when they have work that requires Tyler's expertise.
