Fixing of Existing Central AC

Top-notch service at a fair price.

I called the company not knowing what to expect, and Edward consistently provided very high quality service: he despatched a technician within 24 hours to inspect and repair the existing central AC. The technician - courteous, high skilled and very pleasant - was able to diagnose the problem right away - and, upon opening up the unit, confirmed his theory. He also did additional checks on the machine, providing an overall opinion. Luckily, the unit was back up and running within minutes.

I therefore highly recommend Consumers Energy, for you are sure to count on a highly professional, highly skilled team who will look after you.

Air Conditioner

We are very happy with the Armstrong Air Conditioner that Consumers Energy Management installed for us. We were impressed when we first met Edward. He is very knowledgeable and knew what we wanted. Any emails to him were answered immediately. He was available from the start of the project until the end. His team was great. They never stopped from the time they came until the job was done. The site was left neat and tidy and the old conditioner taken away. Also, air miles were given for the project. I would not hesitate to recommend Edward and his team and would happy to have them for any other project.

Air conditioner installation

Edward and his team were very experienced. They knew how to diagnose issues that arose and followed what I can considered a professional standard protocol for the installation, testing, and rendering operable the AC unit. They even answered my often basic questions respectfully. I felt confidemt that the unit and their work were first class.

New furnace installation

When our previous furnace failed for the fourth time due to the vent fan self-destructing we decided to go for the most reliable furnace on the market. Consumers Energy Management offered us the most reliable furnace, as rated by Consumer Reports, with a ten year guarantee for parts and labour at a significantly reduced price to the cost of our original furnace 11 years ago. We are very pleased with this deal and the salesman and technician we dealt with were very helpful and straightforward, not applying pressure to sell us something we didn't need.

$4,700.00

Humidifer Installation + HRV Move

Looked for a company to install a humidifer. The technician and the sales person were very friendly and answered all our questions. I didn't feel like I was pulling for information - it was easily provided. They did a good job and installed the unit without issue. They kept a great attitude while on site.

Outstanding service, saved me thousands on a new furnace!

My 7 year old high-efficiency American Standard furnace stopped working suddenly. I called one of the highly advertised companies that claims 'they are not comfortable until you are'. Their technician came for a diagnosis visit and diagnosed that my furnace had problems with the ignitor, controller board as well as heat exchanger unit, making it not feasible to repair due to high cost and also red tagged my unit called it unfit for further use and in violation of the Ontario code. The same evening their sales person showed up quoting me over $4000 for a new furnace and criticizing the unit I had as an inferior brand.

I was in utter shock and started calling other companies to get quotes since I believed the furnace was beyond repair. One of the honest dealers suggested I instead call a company that is an American Standard authorized dealer and get their technician over to take a look. That's how I came across Consumers Energy on Homestars and gave them a call.

Edward from Consumers was very patient and responsive. We spoke that evening and he expressed doubts that a 7 year old furnace had heat exchanger problems. His guess was the problem was likely with the ignitor or controller board but unlikely with all of the above. He sent a technician over the very next morning. Kam (Kamran) was very prompt in arriving early at my home by 8:15 AM and had to deal with diagnosis on a unit where all the wiring had been taken apart by the previous technician and not restored. He assured me upfront that it's highly unlikely the furnace needs to be replaced. Due to his extensive knowledge he troubleshooted step by step and found there was only an issue with the ignitor and flame sensor. He first tested it with an existing ignitor and only then went out to get the new replacement part. He also serviced the unit, fixed the flame sensor issue (due to which the furnace used to keep cutting out), checked the CO level readouts to ensure there were actually no issues with the heat exchanger and also checked temperature differential between input/output ducts to ensure performance efficiency. A through gentleman and professional!

Edward kept in touch through the process and came over from Vaughn to Mississauga that evening to collect the red tag notice so he could follow up with Enbridge to get it cleared and prevent any further issues for me. The price for the repair was very reasonable (less than 10% of cost of a new furnace) and they saved me thousands of $$$ towards a new furnace.

I am extremely satisfied with their level of professionalism and honesty. I highly recommend Consumers Energy Management.

New Furnace and AC

We decided to change our 21 years old hvac as we are finishing our basement. As always I did a lot of readings and research and made appointments with 4 to 5 companies. Among the advisors, I find Edward the most accommodating and approachable. Not only the most knowledgeable of them compare to those big companies. He was so patient that i requested him to comeback more than two times to negotiate and ask for recommendations with basement constructions. His long experience as project manager in construction made him and his words very dependable and reliable. Their package are very competitive but not pricey and the american standard they installed are still running smooth so far after a month. Thanks Edward for the wonderful job! I started telling my friends about my satisfaction with the company and the product!

Replace Furnace, AC, and Water Tank

We needed to upgrade our 18 year-old Furnace and 15 year-old AC unit. We talked to 3 companies but went with ConsumersEnergy - We are very happy with how the whole quote-to-install-to-rebate process unfolded... Our rep, Edward, is a really great communicator. He responded to all my emails very quickly, rescheduled on a dime and when we ran into any snags and questions, he was very responsive... help us understand the rebate process. The work crew went the extra mile and was great at our house. I would highly recommend these guys.
