I recently moved from Asia back to Canada after 30 years abroad. I had to discard 80 percent of my belongings because this was a personal move, and so, everything I packed was very precious to me.
Being a single parent, every penny counts, and when I contacted BurlyBoyz after contemplating other companies that were cheaper. I paid more to make every single item got to my door, however, that did not happen. 52 or my items entered my home, minus one very precious box of many porcelain and collectable dishes. My teenage child and I helped with the move of my belongings to protect anything from being thrown and or broken.
For weeks I have been trying to track down this item. Burlyboyz wants to claim they do not have it and are trying to pass off the buck that it did not reach their hands. The unfortunate problem for them is all 53 items were counted and counted again on the Japan side and Vancouver side.
My teenager, just recently came forward and said they believed they saw one more item and did ask the movers if there was anything left and they said, "NO." and shut the doors very quickly and were gone in a flash.
Do not trust the Edmonton side, however the Vancouver side Barb, she appears to be very good. She did keep all my belongings all wrapped up; it was the Edmonton side who took all my belongings apart and separated the boxes before loading it into their truck.
I am going to get the truth I am going to file a case in the Court to find out where this missing box is.
