Luc and his crew did an outstanding job at my home. From our first meeting, to the completion of both the siding and replacement of my roof, Luc went above and beyond my expectation. He and his crew answered any and all my questions, the work site was kept clean, and his commitment to his workmanship was outstanding. They arrived, and started when promised, and the bill was exactly what they said it would be. I was so impressed with the work that I hired Luc to repair and replace the roof on another house.

In 2011, we renovated the exterior of our house, and hired RenovAction to replace our old siding with “Prodigy Insulated Siding”. It turned out to be quite a wise choice.

Not only did we notice and appreciate the added insulation and sound-proofing advantages that the siding added to our comfort, it was the added protection that we were not aware of, at the time.

In the month of July 2012, a freak hail storm hit our area with hail, the size of golf balls. Needless to say, in minutes it caused a lot of damage in our neighbourhood. Broken windows, dented garage doors, destroyed roofing and many punctured sidings were a common sight. Yet our siding was unscathed: no holes, no dents.

Our perplexed neighbours asked us: “Why is your siding not affected by the hailstorm?”. We simply told them that RenovAction had replaced our old siding with “Prodigy Insulated siding”.

In the summer of 2010 I hired RenovAction to replace the vinyl siding that had been installed during my home’s original construction approximately thirty years ago.

I have nothing but praise for the entire process starting with the initial presentation and visual inspection which was conducted by Mr. Luc Lachapelle, the owner of RenovAction.

During this meeting the work that would be conducted was explained clearly and a detailed breakdown of the cost was provided by Mr. Lachapelle. This meeting was held in June, with work scheduled to begin in August upon delivery of the required materials.

Work began in late August and was performed by a team of two or three who expertly dismantled the old vinyl, repaired all rot damage caused as a result of leaks in the old materials and who finally installed the new vinyl. I must also commend the workers’ professionalism, work ethic and cleanliness. In addition to being technically sound, the final result was also more esthetically pleasing that the original appearance was at its prime.

Furthermore, at any point in this process, Mr. Lachapelle or his workers were always willing to answer any questions about their work in a patient and professional manner. Mr. Lachapelle was regularly onsite further enhancing my confidence in his company.

Following this work, I have found that the house heating is not required as often, and also for shorter periods of time. In addition I have found that the level of outside noise which permeates the walls has been greatly reduced.

We had our roof replaced by RenovAction in May 2013 and have nothing but praise for the service we received.

In addition to the roof work, RenovAction provided services to address some insulation issues in our garage. The work site was always left in a clean state and the workers were extremely pleasant and answered any questions we posed. This is a change from other roofing companies who have left numerous nails behind on our lawn.

The work was inspected on a daily basis to ensure that we were pleased with the progress and to address any issues that may have arisen since the last visit.

We will definitely recommend RenovAction Ottawa to anyone interested in having their roof replaced.

We met Doug and Tony here at the trade show in April. We had been thinking of getting new siding and fascia for our home. Being built in the 70s we were not sure what the state of insulation etc. was behind the old aluminum siding.

The product we chose was Prodigy a siding with insulation built in. From the start after our meeting with Doug and Tony we felt we were in good hands. They were very professional in their presentation of the product and assured us that the owner of this company Mr. Luc Lachapelle was a hands on kind of guy.

When the project started it was the worst June for rain in years. The tear out and installing crew persevered through the weather and did just a wonderful job. Andre who was the head installer was so particular about his job. You can tell he cares about every little detail. There were a few different guys with Andre. Perfect gentlemen from start to finish.

Luc Lachapelle was on the job site daily as promised checking with us and his crew to make sure things were going well. We have never experienced such a caring individual and he is the owner of this great company. He always talked to us to see if there was anything we were concerned about and we felt we had made a friend.

To say that we were pleased with RenovAction is an understatement. They did an excellent job from start to finish even putting up bird feeders for us which was not part of their job description.
We would recommend them for any home improvement job and we would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Over the years Luc Lachapelle, owner of RenovAction, has facilitated the installation of new exterior doors, numerous windows and a year ago he came in on a Saturday to fix up the abysmal work done by a drywall contractor. Most recently, he planned and executed the construction of an apartment in my basement. This was not a small job; it included an architect, an engineer, numerous permits and meetings with the City of Ottawa building inspectors. There was a substantial and complicated subcontract involved and Luc kept a close eye on that as well. He even went so far as to absorb the costs when, during the first inspection, the building inspector told us we had to change our lighting plan. It wasn't his fault, it wasn't my fault, just one of those things but he stood by his work.

Luc Lachapelle is a contractor who is serious about the quality of the work and materials that go into his projects and about giving his clients what they want. He takes the time to explain the ins and outs, he's realistic about costs, timelines, and he's on the jobsite every day, more often than not helping out his workers if they need it an extra hand. Over the last ten years I've never come home to a dirty jobsite, even in the middle of drywall when the guys leave at the end of the day they've swept up and removed their garbage. If something unexpected comes up he finds a solution right away.

There are a lot of contractors out there, people who might do a good job or might not. There is nobody I would trust to work in my home other than Luc because experience has taught me you get what you pay for and this man is worth his weight in gold.
