Floor drain replaced
We hired gold medal plumbing for multiple plumbing issues in our home. They recommended to us that we replace our basement floor drain due to concrete being found in the pipe. We did as advised, and had the floor drain replaced. Shortly after this, we began to smell sewage in the basement. Turns out the concrete was there to prevent this issue. Their solution was to cap the floor drain so there is no smell. This leaves us with no basement drain at all. We asked for a drain to be installed and were told it would be $2400. We spent $12000 for all the work done in our home and found this very unacceptable. They may not have been able to foresee the sewage issue, but should have fixed the problem without leaving us in a bad position with no drain. This is bad business practice and I would not recommend this company to anyone. Terrance seems nice, but what happened here was completely unacceptable.
