I was able to engage the services of Gavin of Urban Canopy on relatively short notice to prune a very large (monster) Norway Spruce. There was an urgency to get this done, as I was having a new roof installed, and large branches were touching the front of the roof such that the roofers would not be able to safely do their job, along with a general reduction of branches the were close to utility and power lines, etc. Unfortunately, the need for this pruning was not determined sooner, but Gavin was able to get the job done with his assistant, Tom, the day before the roofers arrived. Both gentlemen were very pleasant and courteous throughout the whole process, seeking my input and feedback as they moved throughout the various sections of the tree. Clean-up was great, and I highly recommend this company - June 2022.

We had Gavin from Urban Canopy give an estimate for the job of trimming/ shaping 4 very tall trees.
We found Gavin great listener, regard our concerns, two of which were skylights in the path of extending branches, he and crew executed the lobbing off of large branches perfectly. No lawn damage occurred and clean up of debris Was done satisfactorily.

We had a very large tree in our backyard that needed to be removed. After obtaining several quotes, we decided to go with Urban Canapy for their very competitive price and great reputation. Gavin and his team arrived and was very professional, worked hard and diligent to remove the tree. They even cleaned up very nicely afterwords. We were so impressed with the service provided and would definitely recommend Urban Canopy to anyone.

Gavin and his team did a great job removing three large trees from the property lines between three homes in East Hamilton. Professional work, full value for money, very courteous and diplomatic individuals. Tidy clean up after the job was done.

Urban Canopy is operated by Gavin, who himself evaluates the job, and does the job with Tom his assistant. As such, thus is not one of those big “corporation” enterprises. You get personal device, a professional, confident and conscientious evaluation, and the job is done by Gavin himself— so don’t be surprised if he answers your call from the top of a tree! The job was mainly pruning — it was done to the standard of an “arborist”. Everything was tidied up and the trees appreciate trees care Gavin took in helping them to thrive! In particular, a huge maple was pruned to perfection. Cost was very reasonable for the quality of work. I definitely recommend and would use his service again.

Needed a 30 foot pine tree removed, along with several other smaller trees, stumps ground and some tree pruning. Gavin and his staff did a great job, cleaned up well after. I am very happy with his work.

Gavin and his crew were fantastic! It is so rare to meet such a warm personality and someone who takes pride in their work. Unlike most of my experiences with various contractors, I did not have to point anything out, argue about contracts, or micro manage the project. The gentlemen cut down a very old dead Siberiam Elm Tree, pruned all of our trees and took out loose dead wood, as well as removed large branches that seemed to pose a potential threat of breaking onto two of our neighbouring properties. He was like superman up there! I have such respect for his work, but above all I loved his work ethic! His team worked diligently and honourable, a very rare thing nowadays! Our yard is quite large and we have century old majestic trees that needed attention. We are very content and highly recommend Urban TRee Canopy!

I had a ash tree that urban canopy took care of Gavin Terry and Brian were amazing my situation was in
ground pool on one side and a bevy of hydro telephone and cable etc. wires that had to be dealt with and this crew killed it . I would recommend this crew to anyone who wants the job done right and at a fair price thanks again to the crew good to know you for the day hope you liked the music.

I contacted Gavin from another recommendation promoting his service. Not only did he deliver on that recommendation but that prompted me to write this review.

He took down a Maple that grew at an angle and was over two separate houses. He was very professional, there on time, and cleaned up afterwards.
