I just recently purchased and moved into a new condo, and hadn’t test the HVAC unit until the summer heatwaves set in, at which point I discovered my indoor compressor unit was freezing up, and I was borderline melting in my condo. New to the area, I wasn’t sure how to go about finding a trustworthy company to fix the issue. I came to Homestars and found Active Air was rated highly, and had great reviews, so gave I decided to take a chance and give them a call. I was not disappointed. Jack (the owner) and Zack squeezed me in to come assess the issue the day following my initial call, took the time to explain to me what they thought the issue was, and gave me a ballpark estimate in order to fix it (which was within the realm of what I was expecting). They were courteous, professional, and knowledgeable, and were able to fix the issue within a reasonable timeframe (given it was the middle of a heatwave and a very busy time for them). The final price ended up being slightly higher than the ballpark estimate, but was still reasonable given the work they ended up having to do to fully resolve the issue. They were thorough, trustworthy, and seemed to really care about getting the job done right. I really appreciated them taking the time to explain everything and answer my questions in a way I could easily understand. I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend them to family and friends, or to call them for any HVAC related issues in the future. Thanks guys!
