Canopy Tree Care

I found Canopy Tree Care by viewing their work next door. I love all my old trees and so do my bird pals. But one old elm was going to crash into my roof. Now it has been pruned so it does not sway so hard. Other trees are so large they crowd out others. Now my yard has more airflow, more room.
Clean up was all completed same day. Very professional. I recommend Canopy and will call them next time.

Great job by Canopy removing and pruning our trees. This is the second summer we have had work done by Canopy. Three trees removed and pruning for our large spruce and mountain ash. Friendly crew and thorough clean up. Would hire them again.

This is the second year we have used Canopy and we are very pleased with their customer service and the work they did. They let us know when they were coming and they did an excellent job with the clean up. Their rates are competitive with other companies.

This review comes a few months late, as we had the work done back in July of 2016, but non-the-less we feel the need to provide a glowing review.

We have a huge backyard with enormous mature trees. One of the trees that Ian and his crew removed was a half-dead black poplar (probably the biggest tree in our neighbourhood). His confidence and expertise removing that monster with no bucket (climbing only, as there was no access) was amazing to watch - he definitely knows what he's doing. Another local company that came to quote didn't feel confident to be able to tackle it and recommended Ian's company - we couldn't have been more pleased with that referral.

We also had a very large willow removed that had roots lifting and leaning toward the house. Both of these large trees had stumps ground down deep, they cut up and removed all the wood - it really was a big job that they made look easy.

The Canopy Tree Care crew worked so hard - it was a major job done in one day!! Most of the big companies in Edmonton were way too high-priced or too busy to even look at our job - he was able to do the work about a week after quoting. In the past we had a major company only prune a couple of our big trees and that alone cost $1000, which makes this company's prices look amazing. He also took the opportunity to teach his crew, which goes to show the vision/character of this business owner. Honest too - there was a $100 error on the invoice which they notified us about (we didn't even realize) and reimbursed us for.

Ian's company is top-notch, amazing, professional, so reasonable - hire him, you will not regret it.

Stacey was very helpful arranging a special permit with the City of Edmonton to trim an Elm tree that was inhibiting an electrical service upgrade to a property I was getting ready for selling. They got the permit and completed the tree trimming while meeting our tight timeline due to EPCOR's only service appointment for 5 weeks. The crew did excellent work and left the yard clean of debris. I highly recommend them!

Very friendly, trustworthy and knows more about trees than most anyone I know.
They removed a few smaller trees and there was barely a sign they had been there.
We offered to hand out flyers in our neighbourhood as we are more than pleased to share of their good work.
A few others in this category seem to simply have a chainsaw and a pick up...scary.

I even suggested they raise their rates as we feel we received so much value.

I hired Canopy for general tree pruning and removal of a large willow tree. They did a great job. They gave me a reasonable estimate, stuck to the price even when there were a few minor additions. They cleaned up all debris. I thought it was a fair price and very good service. I would recommend them.

Did an excellant job of removing 16 trees, grinding out roots and cleaning up. Came when they said and finished on time. Very competative prices. I got them back this year.
