Frustrated, Tired & Exhausted - Use at your own risk!

We had a bad experience with Liberty, we chose them on the basis of reviews at home stars.

We signed up on the basis of the plans we saw on their website, we got a really good price for thier best plan.
However, later we found that there was a mismatch in what was listed and being supplied, there was not enough clarity on the plans and equipments they'll provide if a customer already had some hard-wired equipments already installed at their place. There were product compatibility issues with Smart Thermostat and some options which we were told will be available but later denied. Sales, Installation and Customer Service had different versions of plans and not sure about what's included and what's not.

Bad experiences with Sales and Installation people led us to cancel the services. We had to do some effots to get the refund.

Update:
I really appreciate the efforts from Liberty Customer Service to resolve the issue, after our review on homestars. It makes me believe that our experience was an one odd incident with them, the customer service is really efficient and they do care. Even though they knew we're not going to continue with their services. We got our refund, an empathy call and few follow-ups and a personalized holiday card which really left a positive experience about the company. Thanks to Cortney!

I relied on the reviews at homestars and ended up being left in lurch by Liberty.

Being a first time home owner we were really excited and wanted to go for the best of everything in our home. We signed up for the Full Home Automation plan from Liberty. We were given a really good price and told that all our old equipment will be used.

The horror show started from the day of installation, here's the list
1. The Smart Thermostat won't work as the only model they offer is not compatible with our furnace! (As per Liberty, Sales guy should have checked, He Didn't)

2. We don't get the 3 Window/Door Sensors as most of our windows/doors had them, they won't install on the ones that don't have for unknown reasons.

3. They won't install a Carbon Monoxide (CO) Sensor and Glass Break Sensor as they are not part of the plan. On quoting the website Installation Crew/Sales says the website in not correct.

4. Installation crew was nice till being questioned, I was given a lesson on how to read website content. After telling them that I am an IT professional I was told that they have been doing it for 10 years and if I need all the equipment mentioned on the website under Full home automation I need to pay >$1000.

5. The installation crew asked me to sign up installation paperwork, I signed without verifying the statement "Technician cleaned up the areas after work". I believe my questioning left them give me a gift of all the debris n scraps from the drilling/installs they did in my house.

6. After expressing discontent with the nice sales guy, he said he could do nothing for us and asked us to speak to Customer service to work out a solution, we decided to cancel the contract as we still were in the initial 10 days.

7. Customer service informed that we can cancel but we won't get the Installation fees back, we wanted to escalate and speak to a Manager... we were promised a call back asap. Its been 5 days and the wait goes on.....

The funny thing is that Customer Service says the website is correct and we should get all the equipment. If you read the review.. Please pray for us to get our $208.95 back!
