First Aid Appliance Repair

I called First Aid to fix my 2 in 1 washer dryer in our rental condo unit. The technician came out to diagnose the problem and charged $80. He said he needed to order a part for the washer/dryer. I waited two months and when I didn't hear back from them I tried to contact them repeatedly by phone. After multiple messages being left, I was finally told that they could not get the part. I've left messages to find out what part we need and to find out why it took them over 2 months to find out that they couldn't get the part and still no response. I will try the manufacturer on my own because I do not trust the people I was dealing with at First Aid. There was still no response even after speaking to the receptionist to ask for a manager or owner. Do not use this company. They are not reliable and in fact don't care to respond to a customer inquiry or an eventual complaint. Better Business Bureau beware!

I contacted Alex from FirstAid Appliance Repair and described the problem with my stove. Immediately Alex diagnosed what was wrong and within 2 days after he got the necessary parts came over to fix the stove. He was very professional & fast. The stove is functioning right. I am very happy with the service I received from Alex and will recommend him unreservedly to others.

The repairman was Alex. He was prompt, on time, very courteous and professional. He told me exactly what needed repair and how much it would be. He came back the next day on time and repaired the washer. Because it didn't take long to repair, he asked his boss if they could give me a discount which they did of $30.00. Thoroughly satisfied.

Alex did a great job fixing my dryer and answering my questions! Very fast service at a reasonable price. Didnt try to sell me something I didnt need. Would recommend Alex and this company to friends and family. Nice to be able to pay by debit too

Maytag Gemini 2-oven gas range iwth main oven and upper broiler not functioning.

Whole experience excellent, from initial call to set up appointment. Process was explained well. Service technician (Alex) showed up near beginning of agreed 4-hr window. Very quickly diagnosed problem. Confirmed main oven ignitor not working, found broiler ignitor not working also (I had forgotten that broiler had quit, as we haven't tried to use it much recently). Replaced 2 ignitors, offered to replace upper oven main burner ignitor as preventative measure. Confirmed thermostat functioning correctly. Oven working 100%.

Very courteous, pleasant and businesslike. Explained what problem and solution were. Took extra care not to mar hardwood floor when moving range (had extension to teflon appliance rails).

Overall a very satisfactory experience.

Called them to fix plugged washer drain! Paid 245.00! not sure what the 80.00 quote was for. washer worked for a week then the error came back have called repededly for them to come back! all I hear is that the service guy will call back and I haven't heard a word. The person on the phone not helpful at all told me I needed to send an e-mail!! did that still nothing!! they obviously don't stand behind their work.

Dryer not working. Called FirstAid and technician was able to fit me in same-day! He was very pleasant and diagnosed the problem immediately (blown Thermal-Fuse). He explained why the Thermal-Fuse sometimes blows - accumulation of dryer lint and suggested I vacuum out the inside periodically to reduce the chance of this happening again in the future. He swapped the fuse and completed the job within 15 minutes. Have had no problems since. He seemed very knowledgeable and honest. I would definitely call him again.

I was very pleased to not only speak to a pleasant customer service representative when making a service call appointment over the phone but they were really accomodating as being able to come in the evening for my repair and when the service tech did not have the right part on him, he even came back the same evening to repair my fridge so I would not be inconvenienced.

Wish I had read these reviews before I called this company. My LG washer was throwing a TE error which I knew from finding the service manual online meant that the thermistor needed replacing. This company said they keep parts in stock and that they could be here right away, so I called them. They were here within 2 hours which was great, but the guy spent 10 minutes on his smartphone and then told me my thermistor needed replacement, which I knew for free before he got here! Like the other reviewer said, the tech told me the parts come from LG in the US and it could be at least 4 weeks for the part to arrive. He said he would get back to me with a quote within a couple of days. Needless to say, I still don't have a quote or any follow up. And why would he -- he got $80 out of me for 10 minutes of looking up my problem online, so there is nothing for him to gain by coming back and completing the repair. We called another appliance repair company who said they have the part in stock and regularly stock it, so we have made arrangements to have them come in and do the repair instead. Live and learn. Avoid First Aid Appliance Repair.

I had them replace a leaking valve on the water line on the back of my fridge. It was leaking again 3 weeks later. I called them back & they told me that I would have to pay for another service call & for them to repair it again. They DO NOT warranty their work even for 3 weeks.
